So the defendant in this case was not properly served and the woman's claim against him for the child support was ruled in her favor. He appealed late, probably because he didn't know what to do, and was denied. However, a month or so ago the court reversed the decision because he got a lawyer and whatnot. As long as this reversal remains published, that means it can be cited in future cases where a woman falsely claims some random guy as the father of her child to receive child support.

Shouldn't that be considered fraud? Like, claiming someone who clearly isn't the father as the father just to get child support?

I think you're missing the point, Lollers: There should be some sort of legal recompensation for men who are paying child support because of a lousy child services department and there ought to be a punishment for a woman who does this. Yes, it's great that men have finally won a case like this in face of crap arguments like, "Well, we have to think about the welfare of the child..." Don't get me wrong. See, you would think you get a DNA test and be like, "Bam, I'm not the father."

What happens, though, is that the guys aren't properly served with the notice (wrong address, whatever), they don't show in court, the judgement is rendered, and their pay is attached. In the past, no matter what evidence was presented, appeals were always denied and no judgements were reversed. The court has to collect so much per year and they don't care about the mistakes they make.

This, as far as I know, is how it is in LA county. It could be different elsewhere.

Not that I voluntarily watch them, but whenever one of those "STOP LYING, YOU'RE THE FATHER OF MY BABY" episodes comes up on Maury or whatever else garbage, I fist pump when the DNA test reveal that the guy isn't actually the father.

Oh yeah, if I was on one of those shows, I would completely demoralize the shrew. What better way to do it than on national TV?

I saw one of those once where the girl had THREE possible fathers of her baby on the show, and the DNA test revealed that NONE of them were the father. What a fucking whore.

It's scary to think that a woman can put the name of any man she wants at the hospital as being the father.

Atleast in this case, a wrong seems to have been righted.

I've heard of cases where a man happened to have the same "false" name as the woman gave on the birth certificate.

Despite not knowing the woman, he was liable for child support because he had the same name.

The idea of feminism as an act in our society if the equality of the sexes, since women are still often deemed inferior by many and denied oppurtunities just because they have a vagina. In that way it's good, but it's way too abused by far too many women which rather puts a bad taste in many male mouths regarding such a subject.

The power of a woman's blame is a bit too much, a friend of mine got dicked over by a slut who had a kid that wasn't his. Thankfully, she was such a terribly unresponsible parent that he was able to get out of it because they ended with so much evidence of her leaving the kid at home to go out drinking and screwing new guys every night. The courts were ruling her favor all the way up until the final court date when they got to lay out all sorts of crap they had on her and she had been too drunk to even show up. Stupid cunt.

Then comes the great story of me having to go to Saturday school years ago because I was accused of sexual harrassment for telling a girl I loved her penis. Unfortunately, the only one who sided with her as far as that actually being sexual harrassment was the principal, but considering how closely she followed up on what I was supposed to do (read: they didn't care) I don't think she really bought it either. I think that has something to do with why I scoff at females claiming similar things, but that's neither here nor there.

Good to see this decision rendered. Hopefully, it'll work just as well for step-fathers who are then forced to pay child support for kids who aren't theirs.

Dude, if a step father helps raise a child, he's in it for child support. Perhaps there could be a limit if, say, you were a step-dad for four years or something, but step-dad child support is mostly legit.

This is why you don't get involved with single mothers. You will end up raising their kids and get hit for child support.

I think the number of women who are deemed inferior and denied opportunities is very small. Today's society isn't equal at all, and it's unequal in a woman's favor. Alimony, child support like the case above,
equal pay, man-bashing, etc. Read that "His Side" site.

I think the "feminist" movement has really hurt America much more than stuff like dirty words or gay marriage or gangsta rap ever could hope to.
