What a fucking low-life. I hear that a lot of gay people do stuff like that, getting married to keep it in the closet and whatnot. I'm not bashing on gay people because of that reason because a lot of straight people do crazy shit like that too. It's just people man, bunch of fucking idiots.
Jim McGreevey is one of the most corrupt individuals to walk the face of the Earth, but that's par for the course for state-level New Jersey Democrats.
He's trying to paint it as though he's resigning just because he had a gay affair, but that isn't all of it. Word is that someone who previously worked for McGreevey was about to slap him with a sexual harassment lawsuit, possibly as early as tomorrow. So, he decided to do it the easy way and "come out of the closet" today, rather than wait for this inevitable lawsuit to occur and have it revealed the hard way.
The timing is also nice--he wants to wait until November 15 to step down, so as to deny NJ voters the ability to vote for a new governor this year. The Dems must be really scared of the utter trouncing they'd be handed by Bret Schundler to have to stoop to this level.

It's people like you with no compassion for others that force gays to live a lie. If society was accepting of his sexuallity early on, this never would of happened, but it didn't, so he acted on extremely repressed feelings. It's like pushing down on a spring until something gives. McGreevey's speech was beautiful and hit with blunt force.Quote:

Sorry, but I don't buy this. Yes, it was hard for him, but that doesn't excuse his selfishness when he decided to marry knowing that he wasn't into it. He was using her to help himself, and she doesn't deserve that. Being gay isn't an excuse to be a heartless asshole... if he had problems with his sexuality, he shouldn't have dragged another person into it, and he DEFINITELY shouldn't have fathered a child.
