Exactly, you can't judge until you know practically the whole story. The only information we have is in his brilliant speech; and that would be a biased source. All I'm saying is that it's better to intially give someone the benefit of the doubt, before judging them on the face value of their actions.

When someone publicly admits they've had an affair, they'd better have one hell of a story for me to accept that it's not their fault. If his wife is a screeching harpy, MAYBE I'd have a tiny bit of sympathy, but even then, the right thing to do is tell her he wants a divorce. He can't really use the whole "I'm not sure I'm gay" excuse after he's been pubes deep in some guy. He knew what his sexuality was, he knew he had a wife, and he chose to have the affair.

Does he have a reason for it? Probably. But it doesn't excuse what he did.

Dude, that attack was completely umerited. Who says I have no compassion, I'm one of the nicest fucking people you'll ever meet in real life, to anybody. I have no compassion for people who screw other people for their own gain, no, but I've never said anything close to degrading to any of the gay members of this board and have treated them the same as any member of the board. I may be conservative as hell but I don't hate on individuals for stuff they do, unless it's fucked up and screws other people. I don't know where you drew up the conclusion that I'm some crazy gay hater who nails them to crosses and shit.

However, regardless of his "repressed feelings" his actions were still his own fault and nobody elses. I accept blame for my own actions and everyone else should instead of just saying "they made me".

I fully agree with Gohron. I've met far too many gay people who act like total assholes and then claim victimhood as an excuse for it. Yes, some people do have genuinely difficult lives, but there are many who treat their sexuality as free sympathy and it sickens me.

I never said that. I believe that we are the strongest driving force of our lives, but with that said: no man is an island. You're highly responsible for your actions, but you're not solely responsible.

It also means you judged him without even reading what he had to say.

I've seen that speech quite a few times on TV. Admiting what he did was wrong doesn't change the fact that what he did was wrong, and he had plenty of chances to put a stop to it before it reached this point.

It means that he was sorry he got caught. :p
