Hurricanes Suck

Well, it's going to miss Miami, but I predict horrible weather and possible power outages. The University decided that there wasn't enough of a weather risk for us to miss work today, so now I'm just waiting for this thing to move by us and make my drive home total shit.

I feel bad for the people up in northern Florida, like Roufuss and sethsez. Anyone else up there? And how are you guys preparing?

I still remember when Andrew came around and tore Miami a new one in 1994. That wasn't fun at all. Good luck, guys.

EDIT: Almost forgot, Pepsiman vs. Joe is in Orlando. He'll die, too.

I heard on the news that you guys in that region are going to get pounded by rain however, even if the hurricane misses you, good luck out there, stay safe, in Houston we're all too aware of what flooding is like. Absolutley sucks...unless it causes the place you work to shut down for the day (and you still get paid!), in that case its great.

I live near Tampa... exactly where the Hurricane is going to hit...

Yeah, we've had some flooding in the area before, but it shouldn't be life-threatening. We'll see, I guess =X

145mph winds atm, not here yet but sure is clouding up and looking evil outside.

Ill keep you guys updated as long as i can safely do so and or have power.


My house is concrete and high up out of flood zone so things should be ok, we have a section of the house to retreat to that we have stocked with food, radios, flash lights, plenty of water and of course my kids favorite stuffed animals. :)

We got some heavy rain and thunder yesterday, with some nearby areas getting some flooding. Hopefully, that's the extent of it here. Everyone else, stay safe.
