My house is concrete and high up out of flood zone so things should be ok, we have a section of the house to retreat to that we have stocked with food, radios, flash lights, plenty of water and of course my kids favorite stuffed animals. :)

The hurricane started going east of us earlier but has started to pull west again so it may still hit us.

There was a mandatory evaculation of 2+ million in central Florida alone....

I was keeping tabs on this at work, makes me wonder why anybody in their right mind still lives coast-side but hopefully the carnage will be minimal.

Reminds me of an old SNL, I think it was Tim Meadows playing this bad-ass weatherman, and he was like "I'll bitch-slap that mo-fo then tell its wife to go make me a sammitch."

I'm here in Tampa where the storm was supposed to hit but has since turned east and as i'm looking out my window i see...no rain and a slight breeze. I'ts actually a nice day so far though i assume within the next few hours rain will come down by the bucket load but everyone else in florida stay safe you guys.
