God, hurricane season is sucking so much ass this year.
It's not over yet Mzo. Don't worry it could get more entertaining in the near future.
Third times a charm

Ivan's gonna dragon punch Florida in teh nutz =(
Heh, that thing totally just took a page from the RPG boss handbook; it was a category 4, but was weakening recently and was downgraded to a 2, but then just all of a sudden flared back up into a category 5 ULTIMATE FORM.
Hope you guys have leveled properly.
BEHOLD MY TRUE FORM, AND DESPAIR!!

Yeah okay, there are nutjobs on either side of the fence. This guy is no different than Pat Robertson saying that hurricanes and fires are divine punishment for all the gays in Florida.
Wow, James Wolcot is a complete ass, and that gay article is crazy.
If he ever sets foot in Florida, I'm going to sodomize him.
Of course, everyone knows that Pat Robertson is a nutcase and nobody but ridiculous, stupid Christians listen to him. This James Walcott character has a lot of cultural capital, and he writes for Vanity Fair, a magazine that also has lots of cultural capital.Quote:

But but but... this is the first time in 90 years I've felt that god was truly in the White House ;__;Quote:
Hurricane Frances also has a heraldic quality. Camille Paglia observed on Salon in February, 2003 that the explosion of the Columbia shuttle on the eve of the war on Iraq was a "stunning omen," one that would make a Roman general think twice. A catastrophe strewing death, fire, and human remains across Bush's home state of Texas was inauspicious to our undertaking; and so it has proven to be. Frances is the second hurricane to afflict Florida, home of brother Jeb, in rapid succession.
The gods are not pleased.
I figured that nature just hates Mzo... maybe Ivan will fling him into Oz this time around...Quote:

Same here - but from what I hear it was out since Saturday night in this area. Good thing I was out of town I guess.Quote:

Was Andrew a 5 ?
I'm pretty sure Andrew was a 4.
It looks like it's veering to the west a bit... good news for me. But it's so huge we're gonna get some of it no matter what =/
You know, I was going to do a pic of Ivan transforming into Onslaught and saying "Behold my mighty hand". However, the proposed budget for that picture, including Photoshop, motion capture technology, immigrant workers, cocaine for all of my actors, would put the cost at 80 mil.
I have 80 cents to my name. :emo:
Shut up no. I meant gliding with your hands. It's popular right now amongst the hip. Get with it unhipster.Quote:

"IF HE DIES, HE DIES."
"I MUST BREAK YOU." :D
:lol:I definitely needed to hear this first thing in the morning. I wish I could always wake up like this.
Good lord, THREE fucking hurricanes in the space of a month?
What the hell is going on down there?

We were in a house with no A.C. and right where Charley slammed into, so everything wasn't in the best of shape. We were going to go back to Mecha71's house in Lake Placid, but everyone thought we weren't going to make the 40 minute drive back to his house. He ended up going back by himself. So it was me and my Game Boy for the next 2 1/2 days.
I come back home to as I expected, no power. Luckily, the only damage around here were tree branches and some shingles off of roofs. The moisture in my room built up so much that it slightly damaged everything that was made of paper and cardboard such as my posters and desk. :(
The next few days were quite rough, there was no ice or gas anywhere, and if there was gas, it would take a good hour waiting in line to fill up. During my spare time I played my Game Boy and even watched TV on my Game Gear. I saw a some kind documentary on video games one night. :)
My cousin and I left to New Jersey for the weekend for a wedding and just came back a few hours ago. I came home to find power was restored, it was like Christmas to find that light gleamed into my room when I flicked a switch on my wall.
P.S.
How do you make a left in New Jersey? You drive two miles up the road and turn right. HAR HAR HAR.
Welcome back to civilization.
Now just pray Ivan doesnt knock you back into the Dark Ages.If it comes anywhere near the eastern side of the panhandle I expect to be playing my GBA by candlelight yet again soon.
It was coming for Tampa, but luckily it moved =X
Get ready for Hurricane Jeanne, bitches. That's 4 in a row.
http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=stor...icane_jeanne_9
Maybe you boys should move to canada?
It sure is hot here in Southern California.
I'm still trying to figure out what happened to one of my relatives in Jamaica. No one has heard from her since Friday. I'm really fucking worried.
Mine are fine, including gramps. If you want any specific info about where they live, just PM meQuote:

That wasn't even a hurricane. Crazy people got pwned by a tropical storm.
Luckily, it just rained a lot with wind here; no damage. Cabo Rojo is at the south western end of the island so we were able to slink out of Jeanne's path. I still had no power all day and night yesterday though.
Jeanne seems pretty weak and disorganized. I doubt she'll become a hurricane (hopefully).
Storms suck.
Eh I drove through the storm today. Went from from my house to Atlanta. It wasn't that bad at times, and yet the wind got pretty powerful in some areas.
But the goodnews is that because of the hurricane, I was able to get a room at the hotel I wanted.
=D alright folks, back to rocken and boozen
Update: my relative is fine. I'm not so sure about her house, though.
Thanks for the concern, Gymkata.
THE HURRICANES ARE COMING, QUICK TO THE HAMMOCKS!
That's good to hear, Brisco. I'm glad for you.Quote:

Well, it is that time again and there are 4 storms and one is the return of Ivan. Ivan has returned to the gulf of mexico and is up to a tropical storm which is looking to hit Texas. Hurricane Lisa and Karl pose no threat to any land at the moment and lets hope it stays that way. The last is the worst which is Jeanne. At this point, it looks like it could strike central FL so all you of FL residents need to keep an eye out for this one.
godjesusfuckdamnass
LOL @ Zombie Ivan
I don't understand how it did this, it just seems really weird for a hurricane to reverse momentum and direction like that.Quote:

My theory is that some kind of real-life Bond villian is generating and controlling these things from an uncharted (and volcanic, of course) island near the equator.

Ah, fuck Florida. I'm moving to Arizona or something first chance I get.
It just didn't reverse direction. It RETURNED FROM CLIMACTIC DEATH.Quote:

We are starting to get the bad stuff here in Zephyrhills... I am SOOO glad we decided to put the plywood back up..
AT AROUND 1:30 A.M!
Well from the looks of the map - I have about another hour or so before we start getting pounded like a porn star.
If we lose power for another week, Im going to be pissed as I just spent a bunch of cash replenishing all of the food (frozen food mostly-steaks,chicken,hamburgers,ice cream, etc.) I lost from Frances.Ah well ,Im going to feast like a king for the night if it happens :\
Yeah, we lost about 300-500 last hurricane from buying plywood, gas, supplies, and lost food...
We still have elctricity and are getting hammered so thats a good sign...
Indeed it is. Is Zephyr Hills near Orlando? I know Ive probably passed by it before or something but I just cant place where its at.Quote:

Zephyrhills is just north of Tampa and Brandon.
Ok , yeah I see it now - This thing is sitting right on top of you guys. :sweat:Quote:

MZO youre getting lucky as hell avoiding most the blows from these beasts.

Wow, well this hurricane fucked me up the pooper.
My roof almost caved in due to water forming and non-stop rain. I noticed a couple of drips on my head which soon turned into a steady stream :\
I was able to move my furniture, computer, etc. out of the way of the leakage so thats good at least because if I wouldve left town a lot of my shit wouldve been water logged.. And even though I caught and dumped literally gallons of water with a small army of pots, pans, and plastic tarp- my carpet still got soaking wet - and is starting to smell like piss really bad.
Oh, and the kitchen and cupboards in it are warped and wet beyond repair and the power went out for about 12 hours so its a good chance all of the food I had in my freezer/refer is bad.
:xx:
I guess the good side is that I have power now and uh.....well hey I got power!!
Damn. Sorry you got hit so badily, Jetman.
For the areas that Mzo and I live in, we hardly had more than just some powerful winds. Hope everything wasn't too damaged in the end. ^^;;
Eh, turns out the eye went really close by my place. My cousin (Shinobi128) came over from west palm to avoid it, only to have the eye follow him here. We had some shingles come off the roof, our tree in the back yard got split in half, but that was about it for the damage. There is flooding everywhere, I have my very own lake in my back yard now.
Power was out, but only for a day, my DSl came back soon after the power, wasent as bad as charley, when we lost power for almost a week. All of my little sisters play house things in the back yard got pwned. See pic.

Yeah, man, the carpet can be dryed an cleaned - but the roof and the cupboards and maybe a bit more in my kitchen are gonna have to be replaced. Its cool though. I live in an apartment so Im not paying for it. The only thing I have to do is put up with the insanely bad, damp stench for however long it takes for these guys to take care of this.Quote:

But Fuck they need to fix this ceiling like quick. Im hearing we have yet another one called Lisa on the way -- I'd move to a different apartment if it wasnt such a pain in the dick and cost so much.
I need to go outside and do my-anti rain dance to make sure Lisa doesnt hit us
There's another one on the way?? Aw, fuck. It's just not going to end!! *Weeps* I was half kidding before about moving to Arizona, but it's starting to sound better and better now.
Glad to hear all is cool with your apartment, btw. That dewy rain smell really is a bitch, though. >_<
Yeah there is no projected path on this one ---yet. God ,it just needs to keep going North, please.Quote:

YES THE POWER IS BACK ON...again.
Yeah, damn Jeanne followed me to my cousins house, we had power there up until about 3:30am. Keep in mind that none of us were able to sleep due to the face that the house was shaking and I thought something was going to launch through his window.
Once again, I have to thank Sega, for life was just a little bit better with my Game Gear and TV Tuner.
that sucks, as much as i can bitch about the weather in houston during the summer, we haven't had the shitstorms to deal with. even the boomeranging Ivan decided to skip us. *phew*
Green here, posting from a friends computer. We lost EVERYTHING. Our home, our business, it's now all resting on the bottom of Escambia bay. You won't be hearing much from me for a while. Luckily, we're insured, so we've allready begun to rebuild. Hopefully early next year things will be back to normal and I'll have a house and place to work again. Laters.
Damn =(
Best of luck to you and your beard, man.
Fuck. :(Quote:

Take care ,man and just take it a day at a time - you'll be back good as new in no time.
I'm sorry to hear that Green. :( The best of luck to you.
Sorry to hear that too man. I've got family in Pensacola/Escambia county and they said it looked like a bomb went off in the city.
Sorry about that, Green-person.
I hope that you get things back in order soon. :(
Sadly, I don't think he will. Two or three days ago, I was listening to NPR and they mentioned either FEMA or *other organization that gives out money in times like these* ran out of funds, so consumers would have to pay for the damages themselves. Good thing he's insured, woot.Quote:

Whatever the case if FEMA is out of money then obviously we can't take any more of these hurricanes or we'll all be in serious trouble. What a fucking disaster...
Guess I'm back sooner than I expected:) We've moved to a trailer and we're planning on rebuilding, bigger, better, and putting everything on some really high pillings:lol: Things are looking up, and thanks to everyone for their concern.
So, what ever happened to Green?
Does anyone have any connection to him anymore?
