You deserve to be knighted.
that's the general consensus. keep in mind that when this shit ships, it wont come in until the 10th(nov 9th is the SHIPPING date).
btw; if you guys got requests to see a specific move animated from any of the ign videos or the dvd, lemme know.
I'm really waiting to see what you do with this game once you get your hands on it. I've got a feeling it's going to put these preview vids to shame. :)
next to last animation is fucking incredible!
and IGN put up an article on the girls of the game (it's nothing special):
http://ps2.ign.com/articles/559/559412p1.html
There sure are a lot of people at the age of 18 in this game (nearly half of them!); what are the odds that holds true in the Japanese version? Is this loli, indeed. They should have just done the same thing DoA did and just not list the age of any underage characters.
URL of the site? Sounds like something that could be insanely humorous and/or disturbing.Quote:

as shitty as the forum is(not to mention it's fairly dead), it's nowhere near as bad as the pervo retards on the gamespot forums.
...and the GS forum was exactly what I was thinking about with the "disturbing" bit in my last post. Egad.Quote:

Here's the full preview I did for my site and got-next if anybody is still sitting on the fence and wants some pros and cons:

Premise: All girl wrestling game built by the creators of Smackdown, Yuke's. Graphics created by the DoA:XBV team, Polygon Magic. Game integrates a full fledged story mode, unlockables, and the highest poly count for an in game character(wrestling/fighting game) ever.
Why you should look forward to it:
With everything coming out around Nov 9th, this one looks to be promising. Not one preview or hands on test has complained about the wrestling engine(most think it's better than smackdowns).
Super high poly characters, huge movelists, and over 33 hours of built in gameplay(just from story mode). 11 characters start the roster, each with an unlockable "alter ego" which plays completely different(and looks different as well). Unlockable outfits for both face and heel versions of characters. Screenshots online reveal that bikinis wore in the "Mad Mud Match" mode can be used in the normal matches as well.
Innovative "vow/promise" system acts fundimentally like the "boast" system in fable. Promises include from not blocking during a match, not using counters, or fighting without ever leaving the ring. If promises/vows are fufilled, the player's "heel/face" meter builds. Once reaching 100% the player can fight for the championship belt and a chance to unlock the alter ego of that character(building the roster to a total of 22 characters).
Innovative "humiliation" system works as a way to reward players for showing off the "goods" of the opponent. Doing this enough fills up a "heart" meter that puts the player in a "humiliated" state where they take more damage and are susceptable to a "humiliation finisher" throw. However, it has been reported that if the player stays in the humiliated mode for too long without being beaten, they go into a rage(ala samurai shodown) and their moves do more damage and their defense goes up.
No retarded gimmick matches(bra and panties, table match, etc). This game relies on the old fashioned 1 on 1 style of play, almost like an arcade game with half naked hot chicks powerbombing each other. The game also strays away from gimmicks in match(spank meter, chop meter, backstage arenas that add nothing to the game, etc) and focuses on the pure wrestling experience.
Without the WWE license tacked onto the product, Yuke's was able to go and find the most outrageous moves/holds known to man in the wrestling industry. This means that we'll see over the top moves that are readily available outside of the WWE(more seen in the indy scene/japanese promotions). This also means that they can model their characters any way they see fit(no real life counterparts to stay true to means that they have creative freedom over their character design).
$39.95 price tag
Why you should rent instead of buy:
Due to the system's limited hardware, the developers couldn't get anymore than 2 characters on screen at any given time without extreme slowdown(character models are between 10,000 and 12,000 polys). This may deter people who like to gather with groups of friends to play wrestling games.
Only match types available are normal(in ring), or mad mud(mud wrestling). This could also deter those used to having a bevy of options from playing Yuke's other wrestling titles(smackdown, raw, etc) which feature ladder/table/cage/hardcore/backstage matches that any wrestler can participate in. With a lack of variety in modes, the overall lasting appeal of this title soley depends on the users playing it.
Lack of a C.reate A W.restler option. This could be a huge turnoff for wrestling fans as everyone likes to mess around in the CAW mode, and with a game that has such lucious visuals...not having this mode is almost retarded. Once again, chalk it up to the limited system hardware(and the developers have been heard saying they will NOT impliment one until the CAW mode looks as good as the stock in game wrestlers).
Voice acting/story translation is downright moronic. Another perfect example of what happens when Japanese buisnessmen get drunk and decide to hire the first 3 white girls they see in Tokyo that can speak english. Story mode is a direct to english translation(ie...literal translation of the japanese text) so not only do the voices sound horrible, but the dialog is of the epic "You're the master of unlocking" variety.
There ARE a ton more high name titles due out that are probably higher on your list to play(halo2, half life 2, eq 2, etc), even though this game has a 39.95 price tag.
