I care. Seen some good shit...I'd like to see some fighting matches and shit though. And hopefully our joke of a US basketball team can pull their collective heads out of their ass. Jesus, it's like that episode of Futurama come to life. The whole world is going to be talking smack about our mamas if we lose again (it probably already went down...who won?).
I'd care a hell of a lot more if NBC didn't suck all kinds of ass and would show more then just two 3 1/2 hour blocks a day. Really fucking smart, NBC, really smart.
And maybe if they showed more then just the sports the Americans have a chance of winning in (Gymnastics, volleyball and swimming for example). I want to see more then just the fucking Americans play all day.
And during the opening ceremony... Katie Couric and Bob what's-his-face ruined everything. Making fun of the Greeks during their parade thing, and then talking and making comments the whole time during Bjork's performance. That song was written FOR THE OLYMPICS, you would think they'd give her time a little more respect.
I'm fucking pissed off at NBC.
I second these thoughts.Quote:

It's really one of the greatest experiences ever.
The only event I care about is the USA men's basketball team, and so far it's a disaster. Sure, we play by different rules, we don't play together more than 3 weeks, we don't get the best players...but we're 110-3 (should be 111-2, no thanks to that screw up in 1972) in Olympic competition for crying out loud. The rest of the world is catching up, but we should still win by 20 points every game, instead of 50.
I want to see pole vaulting. But knowing my luck it has either already happened or I am going to miss it when it does anyway.
Making fun of Greece? Exactly what did they say?
This year's so much better than 2000 in terms of coverage and such. More events, less human interest stories. Well, that's my impression anyway. Did not see the opening bit, so I can't comment on said, eh, comments.
NBC's fucking it up again - anyway all they have on is lamo volleyball shite and swimming/diving right now, I want to see the javelin stuff and hurling.
I love women's gymnastics.
