It's great to think that while Tough Crowd got cancelled, Comedy Central has used the extra money to bring back Shorties Watchin Shorties, given us Drawn Together, and have brought us some of the most poorly edited versions of comedies around.

I mean, honestly, The Sweetest Thing was so neutered it wasn't even funny. They didn't even have the penis song in it =/

Well, they redeem themselves with Secret Stash programing, airing comedies and standups in there unedited form. Richard Pryor, Chris Rock were on, and this week, Jay and Silent Bob Stikes Back will be up next.
Sweet deal.

The private confessional room footage they always use is a good premise to keep the story active, and function as a quick laugh here and there. Also, each of the characters get their own style of animation, keeping in the context that there're actual roleplayers in this reality TV set up, which is a nice touch.The princeess, a knock off of Disney's higher crusted, but heavily reclusive belles; Xandier, an oblivious, acts-before-he-thinks, hero in training. All good stuff. A quick question, is the guy that Adam Corrolal(sp) plays(the pig guy) a stab at flash animation characters(Homestar Runner, namely)? I ask since he appears to have a jerky motion when he moves his arms or walks or something.
I tend to enjoy shows knowing of litte quirks like this.

I liked this weeks show overall. I can't remember being bored, in fact.

I hate putting on this image like I'm on the high pedigree of television programs. I just enjoy rationalizing what folks may have a common interest in. And since the TV doesn't go anywhere when I leave home everyday, I see it as a convinent setup from any reveiws I spur up at the moment.
So yeah. Me in a nutshell.

I like the pig, especially in that episode where he puts the Pikachu thing to work and he keeps making comments about asian people. That was genius.

I think the pig's whole premise is one of those desktop buddy things that wanders around and shits on things.

I actually like Shorties Watching Shorties though. The first season of it had some great bits in it, but the current season isn't as good. I'd like it better if they got rid of the whole baby concept and just played the stand up clips.

That's my problem with it too.

But hell, I'd rather just watch the standup it comes from, since the animation is shitty anyways and adds nothing to the jokes other than a lame visual.

News to me, Gregg Vanzo, of Futurama and Simpsons fame, does overseas animation work for this show. Other Futurama folks, like Claudia Katz and Peter Avanzino also work on it.
