It's also known as parts-chiller. It's mainly used for keeping sensitive electronics cool during soldering, and it can be found in most electronics shops. I haven't tried it on big insects or reptiles, but I'm sure if you use enough of it, any cold-blooded animal will eat it.
I used to get finger-sized centipedes in my old basement apartment, and they'd shatter to bits when they let go of the wall and fell to the floor. The creepy thing was, if I left the dead bits there, they'd be gone within a few hours because of the ants.
That reminds me, ants should always be the last creatures you exterminate when cleaning out an infested house, because they essentially clean up after all the other bugs and they leave very little mess behind, since they do all of their eating and pooping in their nest.

i've seen those a few times. fast as hell. i had no idea they actually bite humans, rarely or not.

They're CREEPY. Sometimes I can feel their presence before I actually see them.


Also, it may not be an insect, but I did battle with and caught this little freak in my house on Friday:

I had a bat in the hallway leading to my apartment just a few days ago. I just held the front door open until it found its way out. It's amazing how quiet they are, at least in our hearing range, and how they never bump into anything.
