Yeah, the first one in the second post is a thing of beauty. Maybe someday... My father has a bit of an obsession with watches, but with all the money he's thrown down for them, I've never seen him with anything near that nice looking. But then again, I probably shouldn't be giving him ideas.

Fan of the metal bands, which is why I'd prefer the second I posted to any watch on the site, even the bling bling...but I'd like the first one to sell. :)
I can't stand wearing watches anymore (makes my wrist feel funny, but maybe that's because I am not used to it anymore). I used to have one with a thermometer on it. My sister's boyfriend had one, and I just had to have one too, because I loved stuff like that when I was younger. I finally got one, but eventually my friend acccidentally broke it ;( His was still cooler though. Had all the time zones and stuff.
So having said that, the first one on this thread is the best ;p My next watch.
The problem with the first watch is that it's pretty fragile. You can't take it into the shower - you could seriously screw it up if you accidentally dunked your arms into water (why you'd do that, I don't know). It's a shame about these high end watches, because they're designed to be worn, but I have to think that the people wearing them are at least sort of worried they're going to break the $100k piece they've got on their arm.
The first one in the second post can deal with splashes but still can't get submerged. The second watch in the second post, the Offshore, can do just about anything, you can swim with it, shower with it.
You've got to be pretty crazy to buy some of these things anyways. I can understand spending a hell of a lot of money on the one watch you're going to wear forever, but, man, to give up a cottage in Europe or a Vanquish in order to get a fancy watch, you're at least sort of demented.
$1200 for an Omega Seamaster (James Bond's watch), and you've got a mechanical watch that you can do anything to, will last forever, and will be 100 times better than 99.9% of the watches people own.
