Rufus Graham, 41, was also convicted of breaking into two schools.

Police officer Ray Gogarty testified that he saw Graham leap backward out a seventh-foor office window and land on the roof of a theater that was across a 10-foot alley and three stories below.

Graham pretended to be hurt until he spotted a fire escape, which he quickly slid down and vanished, the officer testified.

Graham, a former personal trainer, did not testify at trial. His lawyer, Christopher Boyle, argued that the defendant was the victim of mistaken identity. He said Graham's admissions to police that he committed 10 of the burglaries had been coerced.

Because of a previous criminal record, Graham faces a sentence of 15 years to life when he is sentenced September 22.

Cool. Leaping BACKWARDS out of a seventh floor window to land on a theater roof top across the street ,three stories below and he didnt kill himself ?That either requires some serious luck or some bad-ass skills.Not to mention some cojones. And I doubt that he was PRETENDING to be hurt. The shock alone from landing a jump like that would fuck something up you'd believe. But hey ,, if his spidey sense wasnt tingling - he probably knew he was gonna make it right?:)

This dude is more like Batman. He should be allowed to keep whatever he steals, he deserves it.

If someone stole my wallet, then jumped off a roof, and slid down some fire escapes, I wouldnt even be mad. Frankly, I'm all for the new breed of acrobatic cat burglar
