Hey Grizzly Adams, you got any paved roads over there?
I want to see flood pics with cars and stores and houses, not soggy woods =/
We get that everyday over here.
No big deal lol!
lol at Grizzly Adams.
Here are some more. One of the firedepartment, and one of a old stone building up to it's roof in the woods.
Eh, most of the main roads are built elevated, and with huge drainage ditches going under select areas. As much rain as we get, the only times I've ever seen it become a problem was in the down town areas where flooding was not taken into account in the original construction.Quote:

The roads are not friendly places when the wet stuff falls in New Orleans. Since the city is built quite a few hunderd feet below sealevel, and the area(mostly in downtown places, where there are residents) is surrounded by marshlands and cannals, floodings and overflows are damn near a common occurrence when the downpour is constent enough. Although I now live about an hour away from the Big Easy, and I'm digging up memoires from over 3 years ago, I'm guessing not much has change for the runoff flow of the water in the city. But anyway, the folks have gotten use to it now, I suppose.
Unfortunatlly I have no pictures to amuse you with.
Thanks. I think she is almost 10 years old now.Quote:
