I'm not too crazy about this because it again distracts the public from the current issues, but I am curious to see how Karl Rove & company try to deflect the allegations Ben Barnes made about letting Bush enter the National Guard above 100,000 other applications and with low test scores (and according to the article, he's been consistent with his charge). Why is it a big deal? Bush never never never ever ever made anything out of his National Guards history, probably because he knows about shit like this.
The big deal about the Swifties is that they are tearing holes (or at least trying to, their mileage with you will vary) in the focus of Kerry's campaign. I would see why this is a big deal if Bush droned endlessly about his National Guard experience but clearly he does not do that.
But Bush has never addressed that, I think is the point. He's never said anything about it. At least let us know, you know?
