Sakuraba did SO3 and all of T-A's other games (and all of their old games back at Wolfteam, too in fact. He's been with them from the very beginning).

I'm a big Sakuraba fan. I found him a little hit or miss when working with PSOne hardware but his current gen, SNES, and redbook stuff was always fantastic. Iwadare is still a great composer though, so I dunno how I feel about the switch.

Also, there is no way that SO3 is Sakuraba's weakest soundtrack. He's seriously done over 70 games (as well as like 10 TV series). He's probably the most prolific composer in the industry, and he's had a few misses.

Frog, I am mistaken. You're right, Sakuraba did Tri-Ace's stuff. Iwadare did Grandia.

Famitsu review score of 10/9/8/9 (36/40). Not bad.
It's rare for them to give a game at least one 10 and have it
end up being a turd. So that's promising.

I've preordered my Japanese copy, which is released Jan 27th.
I'll post impressions once I have it, and a detailed review a few weeks
after that. Anyone else getting the Japanese version?

I've heard the USA version should come out summer/fall 2005. Good to see this one will get translated.

I heard there's no word on a US release.

I heard it better come out here or I'll be very sad. :(

A guy named Kouli on the gamefaqs board just posted today the USA localization is due to be finished sometime this summer/fall. He's usually quite accurate with his info, but I guess it's not official yet. I'd be really surprised if Square-enix doesn't bring this one over.

Right about the approx. US release date, but wrong about this being a good game.:lol: It's really average and not much fun. I wouldn't recommend it at all.

I have seen a couple of trailers to this game and it actually looks really good. Blueskied, what didn't you like about the game?
