I can't seem to find Bush's standing in the issue of gay rights. Every link from a republican site I found merely linked to an article on Kerry's hypocricy.

Gay rights? Like... gay marriage? He's obviously against it, and proposed a defense of marriage amendment to the Constitution. I read in an interview, though, the amendment thing was a way to get people involved in the process, not just judges and congressmen. Seems respectable to me, and I would agree with an amendment process to settle the debate, but that doesnt change the facts that he is against gay marriage.

But other than that one issue (which really shouldnt be an issue with this election, its fucking stupid to talk about it now), what other 'rights' do you have in mind?

Oh, btw, Clinton was for a Defense of Marriage Act too.

As for Kerry, he's not for gay marriage either. At least, I think he's not. He said he's for "civil unions".

Kerry is indeed for civil unions and not marriage for gays.

Civil Unions might be a good compromise that would give some satisfaction to everyone but compromises are not always good. I don't know what to think of civil unions.
