Bugs crawling around inside GBA SPs?

Just read this on gamefaqs:

Insect borned in the GBA SP!!!

Made me laugh quite hard. Here are some highlights (captainj has the best lines):

At first I thought it was some dust on the LCD but when I tried to clean it with a cloth, it was still there and started to move! It is white, 1mm x 0.5 mm. Many people have the problem. Then the bug is from Nintendo.

My bug also likes to hide somewhere if I play for several minutes with the background light turns on.

Lol that's one of the most funny things I've read. Maybe a bug just crawled into the SP somehow. It probably wasn't in there at first.

Maybe the extra heat brought on by the internal light causes bugs to want to get inside it?

*Blech* I hate bugs. I have heard of nasty people having roaches inside of their NES or Playstation.

that *will* happen if you have roaches in your house and you leave your system on the floor by the TV.

the heat attracts them..

in fact, this is similar to the actual origin of the term "bug" in reference to hardware/software malfunction.

I can attest to the presense of bugs in systems from working at a gamestop. When you see some white trash dude coming in with a system in a bag, you might as well get out the can of raid, because the shit is probably infested.

You still take the systems with bugs in them? :yuck:

No, we won't take it if we see them while inspecting it, but the bugs don't always reveal themselves right away. Later that night you will be wrapping the system up & out comes la cucaracha.
