Come on now. Parcells is at the top for a decade and a half, then he has one bad season when his secondary goes down, his halfback's a statue and his cokehead QB gets cut, and all of a sudden he can't coach anymore? I thought the "stupid" thing was overboard too, but let's be serious here.
As for Eli, he's quicker than Warner (or his brother), so maybe he'll survive with that line. He'll certainly complete more deep passes. But he'll also probably throw 2 picks a game and get his head taken off - say what you will about Warner holding the ball too long (on the Giants, this means 2 seconds), he has great pocket awareness and he was still getting creamed.
This team still has to play Atlanta, Philly again, Pittsburgh (#1 defence), Washington (#2 defence) , and Cincy (#1 in turnovers).
I totally agree with all the reasons to start Manning, the main one being you've got nothing to lose, it's just that there's a good chance this not only doesn't solve anything, but also gets The Franchise mangled. I can't get the image of that last play against Philly in the first game of the year out of my head, when Manning nearly got decapitated after jogging into a guy he didn't see.

Exactly. I think they should play him unless they already know he sucks. If he is going to be the future, let him get some playing time under his belt in a season that's over anyway.Quote:

You don't think they'd love to have Emmitt Smith right now? George should have retired two years ago. He's just too slow to get upfield these days. I can see keeping him in as a goalline back, he's built for that. But as your starter? You're going to be looking at 2nd & 9 all game long.Quote:

Sort of. The thing is, it's coke. You can't always just decide you're not going to do it anymore because it's football season. They'd already asked him to quit, he couldn't do it. If they thought it was going to affect his performance, or get him suspended, I support them cutting him. Good to see he's managed to avoid that and hang with the Jets, though.Quote:

Parcells didn't seem to have a problem with LT snorting everything in sight.
so what was it that happened on the intro to Monday Night football? I was listening to Dan Patrick thismorning and they kept talking about it but never said exactly what happened. They had tape on Tony Dungee whining about it and everything. Did they show more nipples?
T.O does a 60 year old desperate housewife who takes off her bath towel in front of him.
Soon after that, T.O does Dallas.
You get to see Nicolette Sheridan's naked back. Clearly an FCC violation.
