i'm pretty happy for cowher - he's worked hard and stuck with it and longitivity is a rare thing this day in age - props to your owner for perserverance. I remember a couple seasons ago, or maybe last season, Pittsburgh was trying to be more flexible and tactical to make up for their lack of any substantial strength, its nice to see Cowher realized the error of that attempt and went back to hard fought style football.
Coach of the Year, with John Fox. One team is expected to do poorly and does brilliantly, the other one was picked third in the division, became ravaged with injuries and could have been considered to finish 6th or 7th in their 4 team division, and is playing lights out.
Heck yea man, and everybody in Pittsburgh is happy about it too. Last year we tried to pass all over the place and it just didnt work. Its back to smash mouth, 3 yards and a cloud of dust, tough football.
Plus another big addition was bringing back our Defensive cooridinator from the 95 super bowl years - Dick LeBeau. We have practically ALL the same players as last year on D, and we are absolutly crushing this year (1st over all defense). Last year we were terrible, one of the leagues worst. That speaks loudly for how good LeBeau truely is. Blitzburgh is back baby!!!
Fantastic game in Seattle today - its amazing to see one comeback in a game, let alone four total. Seattle was up early 14-3, then Dallas came back and made it 29-14, then Seattle came back to make it 39-29, then Dallas scored two touchdowns in the final 2 minutes (an onside kick recovery in between the two) to win 43-29. Seattle almost won on the last play of the game - a hail mary in the endzone, bounced of the Seattle reciever's helmet and just shy of his outstretched arms. What a fantastic game - best of the week, after yesterdays various atrocities, I was expecting a good one tonight.
This puts the Seahawks in a leery spot in my playoff picture, and I think that unless the Rams decide to be shitty again and Seattle manages to squeak out some wins, they're not going to make it... however, schedule wise the Rams have the worst of it - Philly for one. The NFC west is hard to tell, and awful to look at.
That's a good game if you aren't a Seahawks fan. I'm this close (---) from hitting the tackling dummies every day because it's beyond ridiculous how absolutely garbage they play. Some of these fans (read: me) want them to win more than they do.
And all these people smiling for the cameras with the reporter at this stupid post-game show. And they call themselves fans. "Oh we're still looking OK, blah blah blah" How about calling them out on a LIVE TV interview? Makes me so mad. Oh and someone won a car. How about you shut up and stop smiling and don't say "Go Seahawks" and say something more poignant like "Hey guys, how about playing for a full 60 minutes instead of coming out strong, doing diddly for 45 minutes, catch up and sit on your hands for the last few minutes".
Onside kick return cover guy should have creamed the guy that was going for the ball instead of jumping up at nothing?
I just want to add,, Seahawks same old story.. Super Bowl, their lucky if they make the playoffs.
I want to add, this stuff that is happening to eli manning is great, that little bitch deserevs it. I hope Chargers win, or go to the superbowl this year..
The Monday night game was exciting. But I'm a Cowboys fan, so I enjoyed it. I'm glad I didn't stop watching when they got down 39-29. It was the first time in Mondy Night Football history that a team has comeback from a 10+ point deficit with 2 minutes or less left in the game to win.

Well he should have called a fair catch, like Al Michaels pointed out - the guy was in the range to catch the ball, it went 10 yards, by him signaling fair catch it would've been Seattle ball. I remember seeing a fair catch signal on an onside kick a looong time ago - i didn't remember players could do that though until michael's said it, neither did the seahawks player either I suppose.Quote:
