Need help in decision to get an Xbox

Now that the Xbox can be had new for $149.99 and used for about $120, I've been thinking about getting a box. The only thing that is really stopping me is trying to decide if there are enough games that will hold my interest. I have a small list of games that I would enjoy, but I want some input from you all about some of the must have games that are out or will be coming out (excluding Halo and Halo 2).

Burnout 3
Metal Slug 3
Ninja Gaiden
Guilty Gear XX
Street Fighter Collection (January, Live compatible)

Racing:

Project Gotham Racing 2

I am sure I am missing many great games...

It's definitely worth owning. Especially if you plan on playing online, then it's a must.

I just bought an XBOX a month ago, my first system from this generation of systems. A couple reasons:

Fable
Halo 2 (although I'd prefer it on PC)

and now

Outrun 2
Burnout 3

I'm in the same boat as you. I didn't get an Xbox at first because, outside of Halo, I didn't feel that there were enough good games (for me) on the system to justify a purchase. Although Halo 2 will finally break the straw on my non-Xbox back, I know that there are a bunch of other good games that will eventually make into my Xbox rotation once I'm through with Halo 2.

I concur with Nigel. The other reasons why I didn't buy the Xbox were because I don't have broadband nor have a compelling need to play the current Live games. Again, Halo 2 will change all that, but with Guilty Gear Reload and Street Fighter Collection also Live compatbile (I love fighting games), the system purchase is now a no-brainer (and will finally motivate me to get broadband in my home).

I've been thinking about getting an xbox...if I had the money to spare I'd get one and sell my PS2. I may still do it...maybe in a few months.

I'm surprised no one's mentioned the upcoming Jade Empire.

I'll get an Xbox when the price drops again...
