So we've got pretty much no chance at a BCS bowl game now. As long as we beat Michigan the fans here will be happy. This team is built for next year anyway. And hopefully Tressel will come to his senses and start Pittman this week over Ross.

Sorry. The Big Ten and SEC are ahead of every other conference just like every other year. Cal is not a Top 10 team, as we will see this week. Neither is Florida State, which has no business being ranked there now even. Florida State just gets to play by a different set of voter rules, just like Notre Dame, which still got some votes this week. Ridiculous.

Right now, Cal looks just like Purdue, so wherever you put one, you put the other. Both are lighting up the scoreboard and playing junk teams.

But the Big Ten is still better than the PAC-10 because UW is awwwwful.

Your "these teams are no good because I say they arent" arguments are charming but ultimately prove little. The Big 10's holes are obvious, just like last year they have a bunch of bridesmaids but no brides. The Pac-10, Big 12, and SEC both have legit national title contenders, the Big 10, no dice.

And are you saying Cal isnt as good as their ranking while giving Purdue a pass? Please. Even if Purdue is your alma mater, thats no excuse, learn to call a spade a fucking spade.

I hope Cal makes it to the Rose Bowl. The difference between Cal and Purdue is that Purdue is a program, not a fluke, unless I missed Cal going to seven straight bowl games.

So Cal loses on the road on a 4th and goal to the #1 team in the nation who put forth more effort in this game than they will all year...and Purdue is struggling with a hapless Penn State team. They really must be the class of the nation, let alone the Big Ten.

Penn State would be no worse than the 4th best team in the Pathetic 10, and no one wants to go to Happy Valley to play. Let me help you though. A win is a win, and Cal can wave goodbye to the Top 10 for good. See this was Cal's though game, and they lost it. Purdue still has Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio State, and Iowa, most of whom are better than Cal. That's the difference between the Big Ten and SEC and everyone else. The teams in the Big Ten and SEC have tough games almost every week, not once or twice a year.

Cal will be in the top 10 this week. And Iowa? The same Iowa that lost to ASU 44-7 or something like that a couple of weeks ago? Michigan? The same one that lost at home to Notre Dame? :lol: Oh, and Wisconsin looked AWESOME a few weeks ago barely beating a low-tier Pac-10 team in Arizona 9-7 on some missed FGs.

Believe me, EVERYONE would love to travel to PSU in this day and age.

The Big 10 is better top to bottom, but just about any team in the Big Ten would probably be at best 4th in the Pac 10 behind USC, Cal, and ASU. Oh, and three yards and a cloud of dust=boring dreck.
