The NCAA Pigkin Thread (was Notre Dame vs. Michigan)

I just wanna give a congrats on here to Utah, who finished off an amazing 11-0 season by pummeling BYU today. College football fans should be loving this, as it shakes up the idiotic BCS oligarchy. If Utah doesnt make it to a BCS game, then its one more black mark against the BCS, like it needs any more black marks.

Well how 'bout BC actually making a bid for a BCS game. Who woulda thunk it.

Big Ten Co-Champs... oh hells yeah. Too bad MSU couldn't have beaten Michigan a few weeks ago, if they had we'd be on our way to the Rose Bowl. Oh well, Capitol One Bowl here we come.

The real finish is if they can blow out whoever they play in their BCS bowl. Unlikely, but that would almost definitely make NCAAF have a playoff system.

Ohio State finally played like they should have been all year today. Two 95+ yard TD drives, 82 yard punt return TD for Ginn, Smith rushed for 145 yards on 18 carries with 1 TD and threw for 241 with 2 TDs. Can't wait to see who they face off against in whatever Bowl they get in. This team was built for next year and I'm expecting big things out of 'em (I just prey AJ Hawk doesn’t leave early for the NFL).

I was tailgating down in Columbus, OH today ... great atmosphere, great game.

Has anyone else noticed that "pigskin" is misspelled in the thread title?

Now that was a great game, 49-41 with 1000+ total offensive yards between them! Normally I'd of been rooting for BG to win but with their loss (& some more help) OSU can possibly move back into the top 25 before the bowls start. And good news for the MAC, one of their teams will be taking a spot normally reserved for a Pac-10 team in the Silicon Valley Football Classic. According to the announcers during the game there could be as many as 6 MAC teams in bowl games this year.
