Caught the beginning of this game at the pizzeria tonight. Not a football fan, but watching Utah was pretty exciting. They had some interesting plays.

OSU is a scandal-ridden, dirty program. I wouldnt be proud to call myself a Buckeye right now.Quote:
Oh, and Ted Ginn Jr. & the Bucks will be leading the Big 10 to a national title next year.
And I didnt say the Pac-10 was the best conference out there. The Big 12 and the SEC are the best.
Yep. Anyone who doesnt think the BCS and the ranking systems are bullshit are clueless.Quote:
The college football ranking system is a load of shit. The National Championship is a load of shit.
We ought to keep the BCS--but have a tournament to determine the rankings. Say---1 vs 4 seed + 2 vs 3 seed determines who plays in (this year's) Orange Bowl, and the losers play in the (this year's) Sugar Bowl. And then have the same for 5 vs 8, 6 vs 7. At least that way, Auburn doesn't get ripped off.Quote:

Its a real shame that a team like Utah had to face a completely unworthy opponent like Pittsburgh, who only got to the BCS because the conference theyre in formed an unholy alliance with the other big ones to form this thing to make money for themselves. Its a terrible system in concept and execution and needs to be abolished. Utah deserved to face Michigan or Texas, thats the matchup everyone wanted to see. But the BCS isnt about giving people the matchup people want to see (FSU-Miami two years in a row, LSU-Oklahoma last year), its about making the big conferences a lot of money and keeping everyone else out. .Quote:

They would've put up a better fight than fucking Pitt. BC isn't even in the Big East next year, thank god. The Big East is so fucking bad.Quote:

Teams can be picked by a selection committee, of human beings (like D1 basketball), not computers, who have to make their choices public. Who wouldnt want to see these matchups? Theyd be a hell of a lot better than the shit we got now. Auburn being 12-0, winning the toughest conference in the country, and not having a shot at the national championship is fucking ridiculous. And thats because of another problem, the goddamn preseason poll. Auburn got raped by that shit. Wait until week 5 to publish a poll, like reasonable people would do.
College football is all jacked up, top to bottom.
What was crazy to me was during the part of the Utah game I watched the announcer said at least three defensive guys on the team can bench over 400.Quote:

Is it fair to a program like Texas, who has to play OU and the like every year? Or Texas Tech who has to play the likes of Texas?
If a team like Utah gets into a playoff spot because of a record (Though they didn't play anyone worthwhile) and a team like T.Tech gets shoved out, because they had a loss to a team like Texas, is that any more fair to that program?
