EVERYBODY HAS ADD! BECAUSE IT ISN'T REAL! IT'S CALLED "LAZY"!Quote:

*blink* I don't know where you get this idea from, because I do take responsibility for anything I do, I'll amit to doing it. Though I also will amit that I have a higher energy level than most people I know. This can be proven by teachers at school and my work at the factory. ADHD isn't always a bad thing, so there's no reason to use it as a bad excuse...Quote:

Hyper is bad when you gotta sit still... you learn your own releases for it... my leg starts to shake when I set to long just to let the energy out. Though at a job like what I do, pulling little plastic parts out of a molding machine the energy and speed is good... which makes me the fastest person they've ever had on my machine, pulling parts out in less than five seconds. My numbers have been higher than anyone else since I started, not because the other people aren't trying their hardest, but because I just got that extra kick of energy to do the job.
Being ADHD is also good for me, because of how well I do in costumes, which is my favorite job in the world... wearing costumes to entertain children. I can wear these costumes for hours and stay hyper the full time. Use to make $125/hour wearing costumes... want that job back.
Though being as hyper as I am... makes it so editing parts of jokes and stuff can be done to make it look like something different. It's not an excuse and I will amit to doing and saying everything on there... and I ENJOY being ADHD. It's just something that came in handy for the Totally Obessed crew. And I'm glad they had fun and got their laugh out of it... because I got to laugh at it too.
but it is over-diagnosed.
I thought you said you worked with kids?
...my leg shakes all the time. But I don't think I have ADHD. <shrug> When I actually sit down and try I can concentrate on anything.
I'm a Sunday School teacher on Sunday, and work a factory job the other 6 days a week (when working, out right now because of a work injury).Quote:

That is why you see kids who aren’t really that bad, taking pills for ADD. Some new age family who refuses to spank or ground their kids wonders why their kid is bad and won't do his homework, and think "hey yo, maybe he has ADD".
They go to the Doctor, he sees the kid acting like a crazy little monkey and prescribes some pills. And because it is a "sickness" their insurance, or whatever pays for it.
ADD is real, but it isn't a sickness. It is arguable if people should be treated for thinking differently. It is very unlikely that there are as many people that really have ADD as there are people taking pills for it.
I totally agree with IronPlant on this topic, and I also think that people with ADD and ADHD don't need pills if they get the right outlets! I don't take any pills for it, true I'm more hyper and do things different... but my mom decided not to put up with medication for something like this... and I'm just fine without any medication.
I just got more energy and things going on at once than all of my friends put together... but I have learned to control the energy and use it to better myself in doing what I want to do. I don't let it control me, and I don't let medications control me either.
I can sympathize with Michaelangelo, though, I have a similar obsession with Fleshlights.
Maybe it wouldnt be a bad idea to try the medication.......
On second thought I think most of this forum has ADD. They can't focus on a new release for more than a month.
