That's pretty crappy that the Totally Obsessed TV show had to use editing to make people seem like they are stupid/crazy. Just another reason not to believe what you see on TV! ;)

Heh, yes, it's rather quizzical how someone could go into filming for a show called "Totally Obsessed" and expect to be portrayed rationally.

Maybe they told them the show was called "Marginally Interested".

i heard there's a TMNT convention that's coming to NYC and turtle-girl is invited. i don't know exact details, but it's being held in an undisclosed motel. turtle gear is optional.

I'm pretty sure if I ever got checked I would be diagnosed with ADD but I've become so good at not paying attention to anything that I can fully function and not remember a word or the words being said to me. Yea Bacon, get this, it gets worse.

Almost the whole second season it seems, or at least the shit I've watched, have the turtles going back into time, going through space, fighting against these triceratops monsters while they try and hide a robot, the alien that is Shredder looks like Krang (the brain) with a tattoo, and there's hardly any recurring characters at all, except barely Leatherhead.

Not to mention Casey Jones is incredibly stupid, and April O' Neal isn't much better. The ONLY good thing about the second season is when she wears a yellow jumpsuit when she "pretends" to be a reporter :lol: .

It started off ok, but when the focus left Shredder and the more serious tone it all kind of fell downhill into a giant mess.

I have about 4 boxes in the garage filled with assorted TMNT stuff. Not that I want to sell off my childhood, but I need money.

My Technodrome is in mint condition. Make me an offer.

Those are within the Odds and Ins. I have both of the new games out... for PS2, the first of the two for Game Boy Advance, still need to get the second. And the Guide books. I'm glad the second came is four player. I think that's cool, and that it has the old Arcade game on it. I also have all the old games, use to play those all the time.

Which is why I think they waited to the last minute to tell me the name of the show, and when I heard that everyone around here was already joking. We were ready for them to have fun with it... and we tried to watch our backs to not give them stuff to mess with... though they got stuff... mainly from my brother... and had their fun.

I realized it was a nice little joke. *smirk* Though yes there is a Turtle Con that MIGHT be in the New York area in 2009.

I'm sorry you feel this way... though the new cartoon is based more off of the original comic, so as it may not have a lot of the characters from the old cartoon anyone who read the old Mirage comics are seeing a lot of memorable characters.

Once again this is stuff from the comics, which came out long before the original cartoon. The space saga with Fugitoid is based off of some of the early issues of the comic that came out back in the mid 80's. Fugitoid being a character Eastman and Laird created before they created the TMNT, and mixed him into the TMNT comic. Though he never made it into the old show, a toy did come out of him. A lot of fans are more than excited to see him finally appear on the show. Same goes for the TCRI aliens, Kirby, Klunk and many other characters from the comics.

About the Shredder though, I have to agree. This story line is not my favorite for the Shredder, it's an interesting twist as long as it stays only in this show (kind of like Venus De'Milo should only stay in the Next Mutation, and Cyborg Donatello should stay in the Image Comics). My favorite story of the Shredder back ground comes from the original Mirage comics, where you get the first and most detailed story of Shredder's past. To bad he's only in a handful of that comic though. He was killed off, and they're not bringing him back.

Strangely enough this idea for Shredder came about from one of the TMNT Creators... Peter Laird. I asked him myself about that, and he amits to it being his idea... I'm just interested in where they're going to take it now.

Heh won't repeat the full post since most of it was a spoiler post... though I will say once again it's following closer to the original Mirage Comic story line. A lot of the story lines you've seen in this show from "Return to New York", "City At War" to the "Space Arc" is all from the original comics. Including some of the side eps like "The King", "Meet Casey Jones", and "Christmas Aliens" (which is only on DVD at this time, should be aired closer to Christmas) is also based on the comics.

Some shows like the Nanos, Notes from the Underground and Garbage man are new stuff just for this show. And of course Shredder's back ground is new, so it's not totally based off of the old comics.

I have to amit though I'm enjoying the characters inside this series so far. There's growth in them, and changes through out the series. And from what I hear Leo is going to be going through some big changes in season 4. April is more like she was in the original comics, with a bit of the Archie version since she's learning to fight, Casey is a mix of the old toon and comic... that he's more of a goof ball in this... but it's nice to see him as a main character like he belongs....

The show depends on person to person if they like it or not... personally I love both the old and the new series... I don't compare them, because they're not meant to be the same. They're two totally different areas of the Turtles.

As I mentioned before... I'm not looking to buy anyones TMNT stuff... got too much other stuff I'm already interested in out there... that I gotta save up for. Though if you're serious about selling, take the stuff to ebay. A lot of TMNT fans do their shopping there now. That Technodrome might do well there, seeing as stuff from the old show is really collector items now.

Good luck, and I'm sorry you're having to sell part of your childhood for money. It gets tough when it comes down to that... esp if you have fond memories of the items. That's gotta be my weak point... I'm a pack rat. If it came to selling stuff for money, I'd be getting rid of my newer stuff, instead of the old stuff... since I got so many memories connected to all of this stuff.

The outer space PPV free-for-all, Null and those weird orange aliens, Cudley (XD), Raph's black suit, some of that stuff was pretty inspired; stupid and over the top, yes, but in the best possible way. Definitely a good example of a lisenced comic doing it's own thing and being better off for it.

Personally, I'm enjoying the latest season of the new TMNT series. I never knew about the new Shredder origin because I started watching during the Battle Nexus plotline and it's been pretty good as it progressed to the Space Invaders and the Worlds Collide plotline. Some things just aren't the same as the original but I think it's a thousand times more entertaining than the new Batman on the WB...
