Pregnancy.

From what I know from my more advanced biology classes, it shouldn't be possible to get a girl pregnant any time of the month. If I rememeber correctly their are some number of days before the period where a girl can get pregnant because 1. the egg is released from an ovary and can be fertalised and 2. the uterus is ready to except a zygot.

So from what I remember logically you can't get a girl pregnat from the time her period starts to the time at which an egg is released, and since a sperm dies within a few days of being inside a girl technically you can have sex with her two days after her period, have an accident where sperm enter the vagina and not get her pregnant.

Jsut a heads up, I'm not asking this to go "oh hell yeah I can cum in my hcick right after her period" I'm asking it to clear up an arguement. Of course I know that it is technically possible for a chick to get pregnant and some weird random time because of god knows what, but for the most part, the first week or so after period is always clean sailing right?

This is also good advice, unless you're dating someone who can't even manage to take one pill a day. Maybe being a sickly kid when I was younger makes me think it's easier than it is to keep up a pill routine, but I found her sporadic and almost random pill-taking worried me even more and made me less likely to do without a condom.

um... eggs release somewhat randomly. woman can get pregnant on their periods. worst time is ovulation, but the odds are no matter what.

tell the girl to try the patch or that shot if taking the pill is problematic. just be prepared to deal with her possible weight gain, irratablity, decreased sex drive, increased sex drive, lack or increase of natural juices, and off course the month or two of spotting when she first starts out. > : D

You can get pregnant at any time of the month. It just isn't as likely, but sperm sticks around for a while, and eggs do crazy things.

I don't think the egg drop is random, but there's a window of at least a few days where it can occur. Plus, sperm can live for a few days to a week inside the vagina, so there's a pretty sizable margin for error there.

Some couples only have sex during their "safe times" as birth control. It's called the rhythm method. It's also unreliable.

So, in theory, it makes some sense. In reality, it isn't applicable because it's too random and unreliable from person to person. It's like asking if the gas milage is the same for a Hundai and a Hummer.

I believe my Health class taught us that it was 5 days before or after the period. Or at least 5 days before her period..

Don't have sex without 1) a condom and 2) the girl on the pill. Don't do Depo because there was some recent study that said it weakens bones. If you follow those steps, there shouldn't be any concern if you're banging someone you know and trust. Unless a girl has a really light flow, she's probably not going to get off if you make it during her period. I wouldn't go by any health class teachings as far as whether or not an egg can be fertilized at a specific point during menstruation: it's not worth it to let loose inside your girl if you don't want a kid.

Technically abstinence = best form of birth control. But in my heredity and devlopment class last semester, we learned a bunch of horrifying statistics related to genetics.

One of the stats we learned was the ratio of virgin births to normal births. Yes sir. It is entirely possible for a girl to become pregnant without you even helping it at all. And then who'd look bad? "I swear, I never touched her..down there!" you scream as her father punches you repeatedly in the face.

And the rate is about the same as women who get pregnant while properly taking the pill.

Moral: Get your girl on the pill. Unless you're sweet daddy pimping it. Then get yourself down to Cosco for some rubber love.

What this also means is that after >1 year, a small percentage of the population will never get pregnant. So go out there & have fun!
