You are, sir.
the worst part of the games were its start and finish.
the whole roxas start dragged on for SOOOOOOOOOOO LONG, and then the final battle was nowhere near as satisfying or epic as the firsts
I tried one of the "extra" courses with the gummi ship, that was it.
B-Ri - I actually really enjoyed that part of the game, I wish it all would've been like that.
I just remembered something about KH II.
I didn't realize Mickey was such a badass. I had died from the first boss in Beast's Castle, and went "huh?" when it said continue. Mickey Mouse is ninja.
Mickey is awesome.

Long story short, Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories for the PS2 in America on December 2nd for $29.99. No Final Mix +. Ever.
People who still care, rejoice!
No one cares.
And Chain of Memory sucked.
I mildly care. But the good shit was all FM+ (mostly the crapton of bosses) and Re:COM was kinda painful so this news is disappointing at best.
At this point I'm positive it's just to spite us, as I'm sure it took more effort to amputate Chain of Memories from KH2FM+ that it would have to just localize what little wasn't in the original game and release Final Mix over here.
I thought Riku's story in Chain of Memories was pretty awesome. That was actually the last KH game I actually liked.
God, Penny Arcade is so dreadful. There's tons of challenging stuff but Honey Slider's a piece of cake.
I'm trying to wrap up KHII before Birth by Sleep drops in a couple weeks. I'm liking it much more than the first game, but not as much as the underrated CoM.
Btw, S-E has now confirmed Birth by Sleep will NOT be appearing on PSN. lol @ anyone suckered into buying the garbagey PSPgo.
I keep meaning to go back to KH2 but it hasn't happened yet. I didn't really like the hub setup either. I want to like these games, why can't they just be GOOD instead of mostly good?
I hated the way you had to traipse all over every known game "room" until you triggered an "event" in the first KH game. When I came back to it, I did so with a strategy guide telling me exactly where to go to keep the story going and the experience was a thousand times more enjoyable: I even completed every task, crafted every weapon, etc. Game All Over.
Chain of Memories was fantastic, I enjoyed it greatly. The story was a clever way of revisiting the entirety of the first game, and the Rikku game with its random card shit was still good. A little bit challenging as well, but fun. I regret selling that off after completing it fully; sometimes I like just seeing things on the shelf. I may go back and buy it again (and beat it again!) Does anyone know if the PS2 version is worth it?
How is the DS game as well? Never played that, been waiting on going back to 2.
Also: that PA comic is hilarious!
Yeah. You guys aren't allowed to complain about anything pandering, being embarrassing to watch, being garbagey, or how you wish you hadn't supported something if you're still playing this soulless husk of a turd series. I'm sure you can find some fanfiction on DeviantArt if you want a shitty cross between an awful CLAMP story and a half-assed re-telling of Disney movies.
Scott Pilgrim sucks. Get over it.

How do people not like this game?
I just don't fucking understand. This game falls into the "experience" category for me, meaning it transcended being just fun. What part did I get that others are missing here?
Yeah, they're pretty fun. I think Finch just wants to vocally hate something he'd normally like (see also: Persona 3), as some kind of rebellion against his very nature.

I mean seriously, if this doesn't make you feel something you're playing video games for the wrong fucking reason.

I forgot how young Sora looked in the first game.
I love how that opening is the only "catch-up" you get if you didn't play Chain of Memories.
I really, really tried to like the first Kingdom Hearts, but I just couldn't put up with the lousy camera or the awkward platforming elements. I wasn't too sold on the storyline either - I would have preferred less Japanese crap and more Disney. Is the sequel better? Does it fix any of the issues I had?
We aaaalll tried to like Kingdom Hearts, and it taught us to get over Nomura's dial-a-character art style. It doesn't fix the issues, it amplifies them. If you love playing through the plot of Disney movies point to point, exploing really empty environments, and watching really shitty storytelling, then you'll LOVE Kingdom Hearts. Have you ever read a book that's not manga? Have you ever watched a movie that isn't animé? Then this series is beneath you. If you're beyond the age where you think Thundercats is good, you're too old for this game.
This game seems to cater to people who like Disney movies, but why would anyone who likes Disney movies deal with bad re-tellings of Disney movies? Is there a particular audience that prefers the direct to video sequels over the original movies?

That's some retarded shit right there. You really like Hikaru Utada songs dropped into a blender or you really think that childish characters with giant shoes are the reason to play videogames?
I'm not doing this for you, i'm doing this for the people who still have a chance to escape mediocrity. When you're playing something like this and you think, "Holy shit, i should be doing something with my life", don't fight it, sell the game, destroy the game, whatever you have to do to stop yourself from getting to that point where you accept things likeClick for full size
as anything but a nightmare.
I'm gonna beat KH2 and find everything and unlock everything and do everything in the game and I'm going to dedicate it to my Finchiekins.
Finch is retarded, but these games do kind of suck.
It's meant for kids who got molested at Disney World when they were 3 like Chux, and faggotchans like the rest of this board.
i would like it if you wrote a review about it, because i enjoy reading your reviews.Quote:

I have to agree with Finch's main sentiment about this series. I REALLY wanted to like the first Kingdom Hearts game. I tried to make it all the way through it but the HORRENDOUS camera and platforming just put that to an end. The camera really just annoyed the fuck out of me. The Gummi ship stuff was pretty lame as well. It could have been cool but I remember just finding it incredible boring and lame. I know I tried KH2 hoping they had fixed alot of the busted shit. If I remember right I put like 3 - 4 hours into it and came to the conclusion that they just made all the flaws worse.
I wanted to like the first one (omg ffvii huuuuuuuuuur) but fuck it, not a good game. Not even a game. Fuck you if you like it.
Finch is right, Kingdom Hearts really is one of the most hideous examples of vapid bubblegum pop culture that we have. It could prove to be the pinnacle of unintentional soullessness, a sugary vacuum. The concept would make Satan himself retch and scrub down. It is a nihilistic anti-dream, undoing all meaningful entertainment that has come before it.
This is why it is a must play!
