The dumb-ass "lets go on an adventure" storyline setup was always, always, inferior to anything Square did with FF. Self-important and overblown, yes, but at least Square tried.

Big mistake, and a retarded one on my part. For some stupid reason, I was thinking of the SNES FF's. FF7 is my favorite of all time, I enjoyed 9 and want to try and find it again, and 8 was ok but had a pretty lame story. Thos are better than the Lunar games, but I still really enjoyed Lunar compared to some other 2D RPG's.

Also, I am one of the few people who loved Lunar's translation. I thought it was funny and well written. It also had awesome music.

I liked the translation, it was the story and characters that were boring. PS, same guy wrote the script for Summon Night.
