EGM gave this thing a 4.5 or some shit.
When was the last time EGM gave anything a 4.5 or lower?
Everyone except Jeremy Parish gave Deep Labyrinth something like 3.
They do it all the time. I've seen EGMs give out more 1s and 2s than any other publication.Quote:

The universal consensus seems to be pretty cutscenes, junk game.
The cutscenes are garbage. Very few have any cool effects--most are total garbage, poorly directed, poorly animated, generally completely pointless (cutscenes that show you walk into the room you just walked into).Quote:

Bomberman Act Zero wins! They gave it a 3, 3, 2.Quote:

The best JRPGs ever made came from Sega, no contest. Those days are long past, though :cry:Quote:

Grandia could compete, but Lunar has long been one of the most overrated series out there.
Namco has really pretty much always sucked with a few flukes getting through from time to time.
Unfortunately, it's very true. Much of its greatness is at a technical level, not story, etc (which is still excellent). The only 3d 32-bit RPGs that could compete with it visually were PDS and some of the last Square stuff like Threads of Fate, Chrono Cross, Vagrant Story, etc (and it has aged better than them imo).Quote:

Starting to sound like me.Quote:
