No. Kerry is going to lose because he's an incompetent, pompous, arrogant, out-of-touch, elitist douchebag and that comes across with every word he utters.
This was his election to lose and he blew it.
Did anyone see him slinging shit at bush for letting that bullshit gunban run out?
The ban itself was pretty silly. It didn't ban the rifle, but banned features. The ones I can remember were a retractable shoulder rest, pistal like grip, flash redunction end, and a grenade laucher mount.
All of those things keep the gun from being easy to use but do not stop it from doing it's job. It should also be added, that most of those features could be added by anyone with a good machine shop.
I have no idea why he decided to sling mud over this issue. It was a silly ban in the first place.
I will be the happiest man ever if Kerry wins and I can rub it in Yoshi and Diffx's respective faces. The best part? I don't give a fuck which one of them wins really, so even if Bush wins, Yoshi can't say shit to me.
I love it.
I honestly dont care who wins. Im gonna vote for Bush, but honestly, theyre the same guy with the same policies. Theyre both rich, well-to-do Skull & Bones members. Kerry is promising all this shit and he's not gonna deliver any of it (especially if the Congress remains Republican).Quote:

Part of me is actually hoping Kerry does win, so everyone will see that.
edit: If Kerry was actually a likable fellow with reasonable policies in mind, and wasnt so willing to give our nation's military sovereignty to the UN... well he'd have my vote in a second.
I think it's pretty obvious.Quote:

It didn't just ban those features, if a rifle had 3 of the features in the ban then it was made illegal. Believe it or not, even with the ban, it is fairly easy to get a fully automatic Class 3 firearm with a clean criminal record, it just takes a lot of time and money for each one you buy. Before the 1986 ban you used to be able to just walk into a gunshop and buy fully automatic assault rifles with hardly any paperwork, too bad it's not like that anymore.Quote:

Oh Mike, I'm voting for Bush not because he makes me feel safe and secure, I've never felt otherwise because the likelyhood of me ever being killed in a terrorist attack as a civilian is about .00001% and that's the way it will likely always be. I'm voting for Bush because I agree with him on a number of issues and I agree with Kerry on almost zero issues, that's all there is to it. I do wish the Republicans had a candidate that was just a tad better but I'm content with Bush.
The ban was just on semiautomatic rifles, wasnt it?
In any case, legal weapons arent the problem. Criminals will always have guns, legal or not.
He was hoping to score points that day - by getting Bush on allowing free distribution of assault weapons as a sop to the right-wing gun folks - in an election being fought over security. I don't think it hurt him; the NRA types weren't going to vote for him anyway, and let's be honest here - nobody needs an Uzi.Quote:
