Also, TN has 11 EVs while NJ has 15. So even if Bush wins NJ and loses TN he'd still be +4. NJ is a must-win for Kerry.

I think they're both terrible. Bush's tongue is twisted and Kerry sounds like an overblown, pompous idiot with (apparently) nothing to say. Of course, that would be perfect in some diplomatic circles, where saying something fancily is more important than actually saying something.

CBS rushed forged documents on air to do damage to a Presidential candidate. You dont see whats serious about this? Youre right, it is CBS' problem, not Kerry's, but its distracting for Kerry. Which is why I said its a problem for him.

Of course, in the past, Kerry's numbers have gone up while he's shied away from the camera (which says a lot about what a terrible candidate he is), so I dunno.

Regarding Rathergate: I'm gonna throw out some liberal rhetoric here to prove my point. Fanatic liberals keep saying, "You know, a large percentage of the population still believes that Iraq and Al Qaeda had a connection, or that Saddam was directly or indirectly responsible for 9/11!"

You know, a large percentage of the population will be led to believe that those forged documents were a Kerry campaign front and it WILL count against him - regardless of whether or not his campaign had anything to do with them.

As diffx said, they are both flawed. The difference as I see it is that Bush sometimes jumbles words, which probably 75% of Americans do all the time. Kerry just is a monotone hot air balloon. I'd rather have someone with some emotion and something to say who may misspeak that someone who says nothing in a single tone.

Bush is going to get stomped. There's no way more people like him now than in 2000 (when he wasn't even able to win the popular vote to begin with). No way in hell.

Led by whom? The media? That's a fucking joke. NBC should just change their mascot from a peacock to a donkey, and CBS doesn't even need mentioning. ABC's only balance is Al Michaels, who gets disciplined for not walking the company line.

I dont believe this news. Nobody is saying that it was from the Kerry campaign, even people like Hannity or O'Reilly. The New York Times and liberal trash of their ilk are continuing to pester the "fake but accurate" line.

It was probably from someone in the MoveOn.org/Michael Moore camp, really. But yea, the DNC is pretty tight with those fellas. But thats just my guess, nobody is really saying that either, especially the big media outlets.

Now... if you dont see the problem with a rabid anti-Bush hater passing along fraudulent, phony documents to a major news organization in an attempt to influence public opinion 2 months before a Presidential election, and then the major news organization airs it without batting an eye... well then I dont know what to tell you.

Just look at the shift from June to July. This is a battleground state, but that wasn't my point. While many of the battleground states are being covered, I think some of them (like TN) are being overlooked in both camps. My point is, this race isn't decided yet and I don't think it will be decided until the general election, anyone saying it's definiately going one way or another is not looking at the facts.

The facts say that the gap is widening. Kerry is rooting for a catastrophe, which would be right in-line with his historical patriotism. What he hasn't figured out yet is that no one trusts him with foreign policy, so a catastrophe hurts him too. Check mate.
