The Forgotten

As written by a few other critics, this reminded me of a 2 hour x-files or twilight zone episode (not necessarily a bad thing). Julianne moore, anthony edwards, gary sinise, ken abraham all deliver good beleivable performances. The story starts off solid, building tension, but around the halfway point it takes several loopholed twists, and at the end, the conclusion seems kinda forced together. One downside for myself was that they repeated the same flashback sequence over and over and over for no apparent reason except for a small tie-in. There were several "jumpy" scares which made the whole audience react, these would probably be the only reason i would recommend watching this in a theater. It is a definite rental for sci-fi fans, but after you get through the storyline once, probably not a repeat viewing type flick

The first time I saw the trailer, I knew about halfway through that I was going to see the movie, so I just covered my eyes and ears for the rest of the trailer. If a commercial for the movie came on, I would just change the channel.

I'm gald I did, because I didn't know more than I wanted to know, and trailers totally fucking ruin everything these days.

I did this for LotR: RotK. Three minutes of crowds oohs and aaahs was almost unbearable, not to mention all the TV previews I had to flip past.

This movie was awesome until the last five minutes. The ending sucked.

Thats pretty much what most of the reviewers have been saying.

Haven't seen it, but someone spoiled the ending for me.

It sounds about on par with The Village.

Yeah, I would like to know it too, since I doubt that I would bother seeing this anyway, but its interesting to know, what screws up a somewhat decent (as previous posts say) movie.

Come on, someone tell me the end.

The kid really isn't dead, aliens took him as an experiment to see how long it would take a mother to forget about her child, mother finds out and talks to alien, alien trys to get her to forget but fails, alien's master sucks him back and she gets her kid back, nothing is explained THE END. It sucked.
