I didn't care before, but it's just extremely surprising to see a store like TRU do something like this, after EB / GS claim "they can't do mock up boxes".
I didn't ask why can't EB do what Best Buy does, I just stated that Best Buy doesn't sell sell opened games.Quote:

A friend of mine is a stockbroker and according to him, becasue of how little they charge for everything, Best Buy barely, just barely breaks even. Actually, because of their business model, he doesn't understand how they can stay in business for the long-term. Lots of companies with super-cheap prices like this come and go...remember Crazy Eddys? I sure hope Best Buy doesn't end up going that route...
Indeed.Quote:

Oh, and GET THIS - when I brought it, the dumbass stuck ANOTHER sticker over the side so that the disc won't open - so by the time he's done, I've got 1.) a price sticker, a 2.) circular EB GAMES sticker, and 3.) Some other goofy sticker over the side holding it closed. I politely asked a friend of mine to switch the DVD case with one of the games I'd traded in.
Only reason I picked it up from them is because I traded in bunch of junk games and got the credit bonuses, so I picked up that and a PS2 mem card, and reserved another game.
But don't worry, when they get more in, this copy will mysteriously "not work" ;) so I can trade it in for another SEALED copy.
I feel ya. For some reason, it's just fun to unwrap a new game or DVD. :)Quote:

A friend of mine tried it once, but I think he fucked up the plastic because the employee started unwrapping the game and he hauled ass out of there. :)
That made me giggle.Quote:

FX, I wish you'd have told me you wanted X-Men Legends, I could have tried to get a copy for you. I also despise those damned stickers over the opening. How dare I want to actually PLAY my games. At least GS uses easy-to-tear clear ones that don't leave shit on the casing.
