Power Rangers

Had the tv on today on ABC for some reason today, and this show ended up coming on this morning. Power Rangers: Dino Thunder.

The reason I made the thread, was because it had the guy from the older series in it, Tommy. He was in a kind of dream sequence, where he fought the Green and White Ranger (both who were him from the old old series), and other rangers who he was, I guess.

It just seemed like a cool throwback to older times, in a show that's geared mostly towards children. Don't see that very often, and the storyline seemed to be more than "giant monster attacks, destroy it, much humor ensues from the villains".

I know there's people on the board who really like this show, is Dino Thunder usually this decent, or is this just the one episode that was ok?

It's a pretty good series. Having been a huge fan when I was a kid, it sort of died down after Power Rangers in Space [which I think was my favorite because it had the hottest yellow ranger ever]. I think it was a pretty sick idea to add Tommy into the mix of Dino Thunder and make him older, a teacher, since it has been like what, 10 years. Haven't been following the show at all, I know Korly is, but it was the episode where he still cant unmorph and their finding a way to fix it, but they turn him invisible, and all that crunk.

Alot better then the old shows, I'd give it a shot.

Tomorrow is the Dino Thunder/Ninja Storm Team up, and it's gonna be fricken awesome. I kinda fell out of Power Rangers during turbo. The entire cast was gone, and they had a kid that morphed into an adult. I can suspend belief for rubber mosters but some things are just too much. Anyhoo, I started watching PRDT because it had Tommy on it, and most of the staff from the first 4 seasons are back as producers and writers. That's why you're seeing a lot of throwbacks for the older fans.

I can't believe PR is still going. I liked that show when I was in grade school.

Didn't a subsidiary of Disney buy up the show?

Not a subsidiary. Disney outright owns it in America.

I watched Power Rangers and reluctantly admit to loving it as a kid. But unlike Ninja Turtles, Batman: TAS or Spiderman: TAS I cringe when I look back on it. Power Rangers, all of them, are terrible... they're god awful.

Wrong, you forget of the lessons and values corner they'd have at the end of every show, good wholesome TV. :)

I think Dino Thunder shits over every other season of PR, and the crossover with Ninja Storm was pretty awesome.

I don't see how it can get any better than this, and I'm not looking forward to next season (S.P.D.) Enjoy it while you can.
