Dammit all, I need a new printer and the HP PSC 1315 that I've got my eye on requires 128MB of RAM. For what, I know not why.
It has a Scanner and a Copier on it, too, though. I'm assuming it's there for the scanner function. I already have a scanner, though, so it's not like I need to use it...
Anyone know if it'll be possible to run this thing on 96 MB of RAM?
Get new ram as well when you buy it
Ram is cheap, if you dont have at least 128 then I feel sorry for you.. cause your suffering.

512 DDR goes from around 75 euros, and europe is more expensive than the US

and the only reasons i could imagine needing that much ram for a printer are for the spool, or the app you install with it has a lot of overhead. the second reason is probably right.
Forget the reasons why he needs it for the printer.. the man just straight up needs more ram. :lol:
I can't get my fucking tower open. It's safety-guarded or something. No normal means of opening towers will do it. I know someone who has RAM sitting around and who'd friggin' give it to me. GETTING RAM is no problem. Getting this motherfucking Compaq open is.
I got the printer anyway. Works fine. *shrugs*
break that fucking case. you need the ram more than a shitty compaq case :)

What do you know I just bought that exact printer, it's pretty good too and so is the scanner.
