Simpsons Season Five Hitting DVD in December.

I'm stunned they can get this out so quickly, with commentaries no less.

I guess it would seem that way after the inexcusably collossal gaps in release between other sets.

Fact is, they released 4 seasons of Futurama with commentary on every ep in at least half of the time they've had since the first Simpsons box set.

Yeah, I don't know wtf Jeremy is talking about.

I think he means in comparison with how long it took to get 1-4 out. 5 seemingly took no time at all.

I still need to pickup 4, so maybe I'll get both together. Only 15 more seasons until I have the complete set (if they are really ending in 2009!)

We'll see if they stick to that date. The previous box sets were delayed over and over.

Simple, it's an amazing turnaround given how long the others have taken, and how many extras are on the Simpsons sets. Also, a six-month turnaround is pretty quick for pretty much any show coming to DVD in season set form.

Christmas.

I got 4 and 5 for Christmas and Season 5 is amazing. Awesome menus, a great selection of episodes and commentaries including Conan O'Brien!

I haven't watched much of 4 yet but 5 really blew me away.

I'm digging the set thus far, but the commentators' volumes are just all over the place. Great eps though.
