Well is she? There would have to be at least 4 in my opinion, can't just do 3.

I thought Raimi only wanted to do 3 of them... and I'm fairly sure that the main cast had only signed on to do 3 movies.
Better to go out on a high note than to keep stretching it until it sucks.
If the sequels keep making shitloads of cash, they'll keep making them, with or without Rami.
*EDIT* IGN interviewed Rami...here's what he said about Spidey 3:
Quote:
IGNFF: What stage is the Spider-Man 3 script in right now?
RAIMI: I'm writing the story with my brother Ivan right now. Ivan worked on the other Spider-Man movies with me, he helped me, uncredited. We're trying to determine the best personal journey for Peter Parker to go on in the third picture. We would like to make it a story that makes the series feel complete. We want to try and understand where the love relationship between Mary Jane and Peter is at right now, and have a progression so it seems logical to the audience and something they'd like to see and they can feel involved with. I'm trying to find the theme, which I think I've found now, that can reverberate with audiences and is still true to the character of Peter Parker and Spider-Man. So I'm wrestling with those basic issues right now.
IGNFF: For the villain, there's talk of Lizard and fans of the comic are always asking whether Venom will ever come into the films. Do you know yet who the villain or villains will be in part 3?
RAIMI: I'm first trying to determine Peter Parker's journey and what obstacles he would encounter in getting to that goal. And those obstacles will represent conflict with Peter, like the source of any drama, the conflict. So once I know where he's going and once I understand what those obstacles represent, I think I might choose the villain based on the most accurate representation of those ideas... So I don't really know who the villain is yet.
IGNFF: So Parker's personal journey will determine who the villain is?
RAIMI: Yes it will.
IGNFF: Do you think there might be multiple villains?
RAIMI: There could be. It depends upon all of the obstacles I need fulfilled.
IGNFF: You had mentioned that Amy Pascal is set on stopping the series with the third film. If that should change, would you want to be involved?
RAIMI: I'd love to be involved. I'd look forward to it.
IGNFF: As director?
RAIMI: As director, yeah. I love making the Spider-Man movies. I like the character, I admire him. When you write a Spider-Man movie, like any movie, you have to get into the head of the main character and imagine yourself as them, so it's a very uplifting experience, for hours every day, imagining yourself as Peter Parker. You say to yourself, 'What if I was a nobler, kinder, more self-sacrificing human being that I am?' You then start saying, 'Well, why aren't I that person?' You know, it's a very good experience and it makes you want to be more like that. So I find it a very positive personal experience working on it.
Toby said hes gone after #3.
So, theyll probably reoffer the role to Jake Gyllenhaal
I've had enough with "Peter's personal journey".
All the scenes with him, Mary Jane, all the boring, forced acting, really brought down SM 2 I thought.
Plus the ending of SM 2... blah.
I would rather see the movie half Peter, half Spider-Man, then 80% Peter.
And if Raimi stays, goodbye to ever seeing Venom.
Another interview by IGN where nothing new is learned.
Raimi directing is still better than seeing Venom.Quote:

So Peter's journey, let me guess, proposing to Mary Jane?
