The originals aren't worth shit. The quality is pretty bad. The THX remasters are pretty good though, but still won't fetch much cash.

On another subject, is Star Wars honestly sci-fi? I always thought the SW movies had more in common with LotR or Neverending Story, than the category movies like Alien or 2001 or Blade Runner belong to.

Sci-Fi and fantasy are extremely closely linked. But Starwars is basically old Sci-Fi action hero pulps made into film.

I didn't get to catch it on tv because I was working but are there any quicktime versions on the net for download?

My computer is pretty much screwed so I can't view MPEG's so if it's out on QT then I can most definitely view it.

No VHS is longer worth the plastic it is held in, might as well throw them away or give them away to friends (who will probably throw them away) like I did.

I dont now why its so hard for SO MANY people to admit that even the first ones were just good B-movies

its liek they look through them with these rose tinted nostalgia glasses that make all the continuity errors, poor writing, bad acting and cheesey lines just go away

now dont get me wrong I love the original trilogy but they arent examples of fine cinema
