Everything I've heard has been negative so far =(
My boss gave me the game, I just haven't tried it out yet.
Okay. Yeah I've read some online reviews, but you only trust those to a point. It looks like I'll be skipping this in favor of the plentiful GOOD games being released, since if I want to see ugly lesbians I can simply look at IP's contribution to Skull and Bones. And that's without aggravating gameplay.
I thought about renting it, and then my pride kicked in and knocked some sense into me.
It's only a matter of time until pride stops paying attention however.
I understand that the adventure genre is not as popular as it once was, but I don't understand the need to make classic adventure franchises into basically anything buy an adventure game. Surely adventure has to be more popular than "badly-conceived mish-mash of minigames".
I heard that the game does have some funny moments and dialogue, but the actual adventure gaming is pretty terrible.
It's really hard to screw up adventure game gameplay. =\ Are the puzzles Resident Evil style easy or something ?
I played this for about 20 mins. I thought it sucked. True, some of the writing is pretty funny, but the minigames are boring and repetitive. Larry is repulsive to me and suspends belief too much. Like any of those hot girls would give him the time of day, and not see through the cheesy lies he tells. I do like how you can fart on command, but you can do that in Fable which is a WAY better game.
