Girlfriend's been playing this a lot lately, can't get into it. Fighting feels really bad, and before you say NOT THE POINT, well, it's the point for me. Same reason I didn't care for Doose Ex.

I now finally own this thanks to the Steam sale. Which unofficial patch is the best for a first playthrough? I see about a half dozen competing ones, some which appear to make significant alterations to the core gameplay.

Probably. But I won't feel too bad if it is, since it was a gift from a friend who I previously helped bypass Steam's regional pricing differences.

Download the last official patch (1.2) and then just download the unofficial patch. I think 7.5 is the most recent one.Quote:

Bloodlines is a great, great game. Excellent interpretation of Vampire: the Masquerade, and the closest game you'll find to Deus Ex.
