Wouldn't the subject be better moved to FC? I hate seeing just about every gaming thread turn into a big penis waving contest.

Maybe if Super Metroid didn't have the tiniest platforms known to videogame jumping and none of the "god forbid you should accidently touch certain substances before getting the Varia suit" nonsense (quicksand can suck my balls) it would be as good as SOTN, but I didn't think it was all that even when I played it back in the day. Don't get me wrong, it was good, but I have no hesitation at placing Aria of Sorrow, Circle of the Moon, and SOTN above it.
