IMO they are making ridiculous shit up as they go and they're hoping they can fix it in the end or get cancelled before they have to.
The flashbacks and the human interactions are far and away the best part of the show. The actual weird shit that happens on the island is kind of dumb, unless they wrap it all up in something at least slightly believable.

Lost really is in many ways a sci fi show. So, here's hoping they really dig deep outside the already over explored confines of the genre. But if it's going to be "slightly believable" as you said, then the shadow cloud would almost HAVE to be nano units or some other new real world tech which exists but has yet to be fully exploited.Quote:

Anyways, this is almost null since according to the dharma video we know (or so we think) that the Degroots and the Hanslo (?) corp's purpose in coming to the island was extreme future/pseudo science research.
Exactly. And I hope that whoever the characters are that opened pandora's box and who are using/misusing the tech/energy are interesting people. I don't care what it is. The last ep was sub-par. It didn't advance the story at all and the ending was, the tamest yet (was there ever a non-reveal ending before?).
