HL2 on Xbox?

I would imagine any serious PC gamer would have a Dual Shock hooked up to his system and a TV output card.

HL2 is targeted towards a system with 256-512 megs of RAM and a 1.5Ghz processor. You could make it work on Xbox, but there would be definate sacrifices to be made, much like Doom 3. Plus there's the whole mod/expansion thing which will surely be a huge part of the game, much like the first. I think getting the Xbox version when you have a PC availible is silly.

This is all speculation of course .... but since the PC multiplay for HL2 is CS:S ... wouldn't that hold true for the Xbox version also?

They wouldn't just have the SP HL2 and a vanilla deathmatch ... would they?

I don't see the horror in HL2 on the Xbox. *IF* it is one of the greatest games ever, it will be due to its story and level design. Not pretty reflections off of the water, or pretty smoke clouds.

So, a great SP and CS:S would certainly be worth it to an Xbox user.

It's actually the physics engine (and what the game does with it) that makes the game so special.

You could also listen to HL2 with 5.1 on your Xbox as well. You're right about the computer monitor vs HDTV resolution comparison though. The only way you can truly match a computer resolution on an Xbox is with a VGA adapter.

and even then, it's only 640x480. 720p games are few and far between.
