DS Frontlit or Backlit? Seriously.
I've been trying to find out for quite some time without much luck, and I was hoping someone could clue me in.
It seems that the vast majority of websites on the subject are written by people who don't realize there's a difference between the two. There are plenty of reports of it being backlit "like the GBA SP" but that doesn't help me out at all. Even nintendo's website has nothing concrete about what type of lighting this thing will have.
If the DS isn't backlit then I don't see the need to buy one at launch, since I'll mostly be playing my GBA games on it for the first few months anyway.
And does anyone know if the DS will have any extra features for playing GBA games? I think it would be cool if the touchscreen were used as a control panel of sorts when playing GBA games, allowing the player to do things like adjust the image scaling, change the button layout, assign macros to the X and Y buttons, or take screenshots.
I'm also curious about what happens when both a GBA cart and a DS card are present in the system simultaneously. How does it handle this electronic dp?
