Beats me. I guess it's an okay idea but I don't see why everyone is all OMG! about it. It might be useful as a portable archive (or at least it would if the screen wasn't so small) or something but...whatever.

Besides, in 2 months Apple will probably release a model twice as good for 2/3 the price.

Well people do it on a digital camera screen. Why not an iPod? I think it's about as useful as a camera phone, really, and those seem to be all the rage these days.

I only have a USB cable with my camera, that wouldn't work for me. :(

I agree, the lack of connectivity between a digital camera straight to the ipod definitely hurts the Ipod Photo.

I hate showing people pics on my digicam's screen. Better to print them out or upload them to my PC so they can actually see them.

Like I said, if this thing had a bigger screen then maybe I'd think it was a good idea. It's just too small.

That's because people use them to sneak pics of underage girl's asses in the shopping mall.

dont care about the picture viewer, but I like the 60gb HD and longer battery life.

Authorized Service Provider. iPod Photo has been showing up on parts lists for about two week now. Now, the iMac G5.. we were in the dark on that one.

I believe this works with iPhoto like it works with iTunes. The way to put the digital pictures from the camera/card onto it is with that 3rd party attachment. I could be wrong. I haven't looked at the specs page.

pictures don't impress me, wake me up when it plays movies. (prefferably more than just quicktime.)
