Tim got married??

The Expos are now officially called the Washington Nationals. The Nats so far have signed Cristain Guzman, Vinny Castilla and Jose Guillen with no real budget (or owner) in place. They still have to fix up RFK Stadium.

Any thoughts on the new logo and the name? I guess its ok..a bit plain I suppose.

I saw that and their hats, are the same as the Washington Sentaors old hat.. the red with the W

The logo isnt bad... but it looks like a Congressional Subcommittee of some other committee designed it.

The Expos is a gay European name.

I like this Nationals logo. The logo makes the team seem as if they've been around for years, which is what you want, I think.

I did like the conceit of a team being called the Washington Grays, though.

How is some completely idiotic notion like the yankees let the red sox win the same as me pointing out the fact that the two teams you mentioned went a collective 0-7 against the red sox this postseason? What I said about the sox beating the angels and cards certainly wasn't "nonsense". They beat them both easily.

Im going to miss having the ability to see baseball games when i go up to montreal

The sox are losing some mainstays right now, Dirt Dogs is reporting Gabe Kaplar is going to Japan, and that Pedro is very likely to sign with the Yankees. He'll last one year there then George will want to trade him.

Otherwise this hot stove season is great, though I really wish it would heat up, I hate that it takes this long for anyone to make a decision though.

What does comparing outfields have to do with the playoffs?

The Washington Nationals name and logo is really generic, it comes off like a fake team in a baseball videogame. They should have just called them the Senators again.
