The Yankees getting superstars doesn't scare anyone anymore. I wouldn't be surprised if Pavano chokes worse than Vasquez, Randy Johnson finally breaks down, etc. The Yankees just got rid of the best their decimated farm system had.

I just heard a really weird rumor that Tek may be getting everything he's been demanding, from the Mets no less. Can't find this on dirt dogs or anywhere else on the net, but I think it might be true. Don't quote me though, I heard this second hand from my Mother who sits in work listening to WEEI all day, so she's pretty reliable. I hope its not true.

Err, I guess they really are turning into the Red Sox's retirement home. WTF? What are they going to do with Piazza, send him to the glue factory? Then again, your mother is reliable as WEEI, which is not saying much.

Maybe Pedro is demanding this. :rolleyes: (Note: I harbor no ill will for Pedro, what he did in Boston was nothing short of historic. Historic. However, I do wish he would stop the rampant fronting.)

I like how the Yankees are going after pitchers with strong arms, those are the pitchers that are most likely going to survive in New York.

Pedro is just being Pedro. He's a character and his interviews are entertaining. Athletes are usually ridiculously dull when it comes to interviews and I'm sure Pedro will be pure fun next season. Hopefully he won't get injured before providing a few Pedro-isms.


'Tek is staying in Boston. No reason for him to go to the Mets unless somehow they move Piazza which is impossible.
