It is with a heavy heart that I wish Beltran to see 7 years of very very poor performance. Being on the Mets, I belive this is likely.
Bagwell, Biggio, Berkman, Backe, Oswalt, Pettite, Lidge - Kick some ass this year. I now want only to show Greedy "I want to be on a winning team" McStupidface Beltran that he made a terrible mistake. Shame on the Astros for wasting so much time in the off-season not signing anyone, letting Miller slip all waiting on Beltrans descision.
I fully expect hearty boos whenever the Mets come to MM Park. I'll try my best to be there.
BOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Beltran will be just fine and the Mets will be better. Not playoff calibur but at least a marked improvement over the last 3 embarrassing years.Quote:

I do hope there will be huge crowds at MM when the Mets show up.. they did have some sort of a rivalry during the 70's and 80's right?? If there is one thing I hate about the scheduling is that some teams just dont see enough of each other. (Mets/Astros, Mets/Cubs, Mets/Dodgers...etc).
1986. Fuck 1986. And them Mets.
Eh, I only wish teams ill when they get to me. Mark on up for the Mets organization. Mark one down for the Astros and their self-imposed salary cap.
But still. Go Astros! Beat the Mets! and the Braves, and the Cardinals and the Cubs, and the Dodgers
BTW: Backe is less a question mark on that team than the bigger names. This will be his season. He'll be shakeing hands with Cy Young within a few years.
Heh.. Backe was good last season and the few playoff games he was in and showed potential. Lidge was just phenomenal last season..now they both have to repeat that. A healthy Oswalt, healthy Pettitte, Clemens, Backe with Lidge at the backend is definitely good stuff. The Astros need to prepare for life without the killer B's though and soon. Also is Berkman a free agent soon?? They need to tie him up to a nice contract soon.Quote:

The Yankees organization philosophy is twofold right now. Pitchers must throw heat(all the recent pitchers they have drafted throw hard), and utility players that Torre likes (Martinez and Womack). I really wish that the Yankees remove Torre's influence from player selection. He does like the crappy ones (Bellinger, Wilson, Martinez etc)
Prediction time: Who will the Yankees lose to in next year's playoffs? The only wrong answer is no one.
say cheese!!
