This isn't the point whatsoever. The point is that someone actually can just drop your name to the FBI and no matter how insignificant you are, even if the only evidence of any deviance on your part is this anonymous accusation and you're clearly exonerated, you become a file. It's KGB style tactics. It's a symptom of a society built around fear and self-inflicted oppression.
If I become afraid to speak out because of the possibility that what I say, no matter how true it is or how within my rights it is to say it, could cause my privacy to be sacrificed then I'm being oppressed, and in a country that prides itself on its freedoms and the rights of the individual, this seems completely out of place.
