I just played a game on Waterwork of 1 flag where I had 47 kills and 4 deaths, but my team lost.
Further proof that no matter how amazingly good you do, if idiots don't know that they should run the flag out the front where you have a total lock down instead of out the back where the enemy is repawning you won't win.
Update on me vs my friends.
I just won 3 v 1 on Zanzibar 1 flag CTF, rediculousness.
That was some good big team battling we did tonite, except for that very sloppy last game of Neutral Bomb. 13 wins in a row was enough to bring me from just turning into a level 9 to one more win till I'm a level 12. Rawk!
We'll get it for you, shit I'll be on later tonight even.
I just need to take a break after that annoyance that was the last game we played.

This is very true. Halo 2 takes some mad skills in the teamwork department to win. Much more so than Halo 1 IMO.

The medal system in Halo 2 sucks. There, I've said it. TrialSword's brother (who I'm sure some of you have played) said it first, and I didn't get where he was coming from. Now I see it. Oh yes.
It gives you more points for doing the easiest and most annoying things (sword, snipe). Shite, teh fuck? Half the time, the game just becomes the fight for the sword and sniper rifle. Blegh. The same person I referenced above thinks a "weapon proficiency" kind of ranking would work better. The better you are with EVERY weapon, the higher you rank. Dammit all, I agree with him.
But Medals don't mean anything. How can a system, built around something that doesn't matter at all, be good or bad?
I might take a break from my Halo 2 sabbatical (haw!) and be on tonight after Bill Maher's show ends, which should be around 11:50 PM EST. I haven't played in a while, so unless you like your rank to drop, we should do some Training games first.
I played 2 rumble pit games today and got 5th and 4th which left me in quite literally the exact same place I was before I started. I could blame these poor performances on me literally jumping into them without warming up in the slightest, but instead I would rather blame the inherit flaws of rumble pit and it's spawn system.
Fuck you Rumble pit, once I get my horns I'm done with you forever.
Hopefully I will be on tonite, but I have tons of new good stuff. I got the 2 disc Led Zepplin DVD, Seinfeld Live on Broadway, and Street Fighter collection, so I have my work cut out for me today if I wanna have time for Halo 2.

Medals don't change experience at all; Wins and Loses are all that matters. It also doesn't matter who gets the most kills, least deaths, bomb plants, flag scores or anything else. Anyone who says they do doesn't know what they're talking about.

Some good games today, but some of the people we played with need to learn how to asess the defensive strength of our base before they blindly run off to attack. Also, a key note that I think no one seems to do in our games, you have to back up the sniper, damn near always. If you are in a vehicle near their base, keep a constant eye on the area around the sniper, and pay attention to if his icon goes red. I don't get it. I was just in a party with TrialSword in Team Slayer. In the middle of the game, I get the dreaded lag -> blue screen of reconnect and such. Then, the game ends. I go online, and it turns out TrialSword is still playing the game! He's still in my party, I'm gone, but the game still goes on! What the fuck just happened? This process of lag -> BSoR happens to me all the time...
I've been in games where the servers split and we all end up in different games. The one time it was three of our guys against three of theirs in one room, my and another guy from my team vs one guy in another, two on two in another, and one guy just lagged out.
The guys from my team won in all the rooms. ROCK.
Cripes. That, and TrialSword just got booted from a game we were playing by nobody in particular for no reason whatsoever. Shame, too, 'cause we would've wrecked the other team. I had 17 fucking kills that game, and the other two nimrods on my team had below ten. They just kept storming me while the other two were out jerking off...

Every time. This happens in, like, every other game. Hasn't been this bad until about this week.
It's happened to me a few times as well. What's funny is my friend who is playing on his Xbox in the room next to mine always gets to keep playing. So I walk in there to see the rest of the game. I dunno, it's like you lag out or something and the game doesn't know what to do.
Awe man, I remember when I used to have terrible lag, and it was the worst lag ever. I still some how managed to kill people, but damn, it was bad. Never did get booted from a game more than once in a night though like you Chao.
Sorry about earlier Tojo, I thought I could play, and then realized I had to go do somethin. And you weren't on later.
I just played a rumble pit and a head to head under the x Noir Wings x name. Rumble pit I had 25 kills with second place at 8 and in the head to head I got a running riot (10 kills no deaths for the n00bs).
This probably isn't the nicest thing to do, but it's damn fun.

I was in a game with g0zen, BrAnDX and Chux under my second Live name and we ran into a TNL luker who goes by the name of Flamble during a game of Big Team Battle. After the game he asked if I went by Opaque, and I was a little suprised, but yes Flamble, it was I who served your team with 15 kills and no deaths.
You should play with us sometime, we'll get you back that 15 we made you lose.
